Okay I just took my boards this morning and I am curious to know how accurate that is?
I am not getting the "good pop up"
I got 75 questions- approx 10 SATA, 3 EKG strips, a few exhibit questions and the remainder a mix of medications and priority.
I did NOT get any dosage calculation.
I didn't think the questions I got were that difficult and felt good about it until the "trick" let me down... any comments???

I took my Nclex on Wednesday I had 17 select all that apply, 4/5 hot spots, 6/8 drop and drag, and also a good bit of priority questions. My test shut off at 75 and I tried the PVT and it didn't work. 2 of my classmates tried the trick also and it didn't work for them as well. Haven't heard anything from state boards yet or Pearson. I felt good about the exam overall, just keeping my fingers crossed.

What do you folks mean by the trick "didn't work" and let you down? Taking it soon and will literally go bonkers if I can't get at least some idea if I passed immediately.

Don't do that. :) If you can wait until Christmas morning to open your presents, you can wait a bit for this. It's a looooooong career.
If you need some support for your rational perspective and sanity, go to your state Board of Nursing website and check your college's NCLEX pass rate. Compare to what you know about your grades. Don't drive yourself crazy-- pull over to the side of the road and go for a nice walk. :)
Hi dellwen, I hope you passed!!!!

I took my NCLEX on wednesday as well, I did the PVT and got the good pop-up, logged on to the BON website this morning and they issued me a license, so the PVT was accurate for me! I had 75 questions over 25 SOTA, 1 med calculation. I am in california!

From everything I've read about the PVT, it's very accurate if you get the "good" pop-up. It's less accurate if you get the "bad" pop-up. If you got the "bad" pop-up, the best thing you can do is wait. It's very possible that you actually passed. If you didn't, don't despair. They should provide you with an idea of what your strengths and weaknesses are. Work on that stuff and go for it again when you feel ready.

OMG.... totally accurate. PVT actually is TRUE! so I recently took NCLEX on August 6, 2013. Computer shut off at 80 questions!!!! OMG I freaked out....did I do totally horrible or incredibly good!!! Instantly I sprint to my truck to try the"trick". Holy crap,,,, I got the "good" message! Still in disbelief, I check nursys.com.. quick verify... no records of licensure find. So by this time I'm biting my nails... nursing mentality clicked in immediately! Can't do anything else...lol CALL the doctor! Well BON was my doctor! I called, gave my social and sure enough I was told that my license is active and expires January 31, 2015. Yayyyy. I didn't even have to pay Pearson to find out. The Rock did it for me. Good luck everybody!!!

I'm from California and we can't do the "quick results" thing.. so I waited 4 hours after I took my nclex-pn to try the PVT and got the good pop up! I checked every so often and eventually I found out that I DID pass!! BUT I never celebrated or got too excited before I received the letter in the mail! You just never know!! Good luck to you!!

I just got the good popup after taking the exam an hour ago. I had 75 questions with 31 select all that apply and 2 alternate format. I dont know the accuracy of the popup but will be paying for the quick results soon.
