Hello everyone,
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of you, obviously if you are on here or reading this means we have made it this far in our common journey of becoming nurses. I personally couldn't be any happier. I am new here, but have been looking on this site quite frequently for the past few weeks while I was anxiously awaiting to take my NCLEX-RN. This place has really helped me keep my sanity post-testing as well.
I tested this past Friday, April 17, 2015, at 8:00 AM. Like most of us on here I came out of the testing center as a complete wreck, I was convinced I failed. I truly though that completely bombed it! I came home and after I was done crying and telling my best friend how much of a failure I was, I realized that I had no one to blame but myself. I jumped into this exam without studying, not even 1 hour and being out of school for 3 months. How stupid could I be? Everyone told me that I should be studying and if I fail, this is what I get for not listening to others which have already gone through this. From experience, I truly do advise that everyone getting ready to take the NCLEX studies and prepare themselves accurately. DO NOT go into this exam unprepared like I did, you will absolutely regret it!
After I was done with my "I'm a failure rant" I searched, and searched and searched and some more and again I came across this site. I was looking to see if there was any way to somewhat get an idea on how I did based on what number question the computer shut down and how soon the quick results were available in Florida (I knew 48 hrs but I was curious if others got them back sooner). I came across a lot of people saying their computer shut down at 75 and 265 but none seemed similar to my 255. I thought to myself, "255 is such an awkward number to have the computer shut down on me". I honestly thought that the computer realized it wasn't even worth giving me the last 10 questions because I was gonna fail any ways. I got even more depressed. Of course I kept on searching and came across the famous PVT. I knew it existed but was (still am) very skeptical of it. There is no way that such a controlled test can have this glitch... maybe I'm wrong. Any ways, I tried it and got back the "good pop-up" which made me more skeptical of the trick. I was already convinced that there was no way that I passed.
I kept on checking repeatedly, more like obsessively, every site I can think of BON, FL dept. DOH(license verification), Nursys, FL examination grade report search page and Pearson Vue to see if my quick results were available. First 24 went by and nothing, I found myself at my son's baseball game clicking the refresh button instead of watching him play. 36 hours and still nothing, the wait was driving me crazy. I just wanted to confirm that I failed so I could start planning for the next test. I had my books out and everything. And finally 48 hours came... This morning I woke up around 9 AM, I figured at least the Quick results should be available by now. I went on Pearson Vue and yup, there they were. I was soooo hesitant to look at them. Anxiety kicked in and I no longer wanted to see them after this agonizing wait. I gave myself some time, a couple hours passed by and I checked all the other sites, no sign of a license. Now I was positive that I had failed! I decided to pay the 8 dollars just to confirm that I had indeed failed. And that was when I saw "UNOFFICIAL RESULTS: PASS". I nearly almost passed out!!! I was in complete shock, this couldn't be true! I clicked and refreshed maybe I was hallucinating. I PASSED!
And of course I came back on the this site to check the validity of the Quick Results, I was not really able to find anything saying how accurate they are or if any one has seen PASS before and actually FAIL or vice versa. And that led me to start my own thread. So my question is, has anyone experienced Quick Results being wrong? What is the accuracy of these Unofficial Results?

They are 100% accurate for pass or fail. It's not a guarantee that you are licensed as only a BoN can give official results and issue a license.
So congratulations you passed the NCLEX-RN!&
So you technically do not become licensed automatically if you pass the test? What would be some reasons the FLBON deny it if they already accepted my application and allowed me to sit for the exam?
Correct. Positive criminal history. Questions regarding mental status or addiction.

Like if you committed a crime between when you submitted your application and now. Or if the fingerprint test they did on you at the testing center reveals that you are a convicted felon in another state with another name.
Relax, barring anything like that, you will get your license.
Don't go on a crime spree, kill anyone, become addicted to heroine and get a DUI and the BoN will be happy to license you.
I know someone personally who passed the NCLEX but failed to disclose a pesky felony found on the full background check. So graduate of nursing school and passed NCLEX but not a licensed nurse.
They already did all that, I had to provide them with a thousand things before the approved me to sit for the NCLEX. State of Florida does all their screening before hand I don't think they re-screen you after. I might be wrong but from all the research I've done I think i'm in the clear...
