Hello everyone! I'm a fairly new nurse of 10 months on a cardiovascular step down unit, I'd like to know which test would be best to take towards the floor I work on. PCCN vs CCRN? I'm not even fully sure of the difference between them, either.
Any help or guidance is appreciated,
thank you!

Being that you haven't worked on a critical Care unit, you wouldn't be eligible to take ccrn. You might have enough hours in to take pccn. Hth

Not sure you have enough practice hours yet for any of them. When you do also consider, cardiac-vascular nurse certification. Cardiac Vascular Nursing Certification (RN-BC) | ANCC

There is no longer any practice requirement to write the CCRN. All that is required is to have either 1750 or 2000 hours providing "direct bedside care of acutely and/or critically ill patients" in the last 2 or 5 years.
