PCCN vs CCRN
Hello everyone! I'm a fairly new nurse of 10 months on a cardiovascular step down unit, I'd like to know which test would be best to take towards the floor I work on. PCCN vs CCRN? I'm not even fully sure of the difference between them, either. Any help or guidance is appreciated, thank you! Gigi

New critical care nurse
Hello everyone! Tomorrow I start as a new critical care nurse on my OWN! I'm both nervous and excited. I did go through a 6 week training course, but extremely nervous to be on my own. The nurses have been great and very helpful; however, I'm nervous to have the patients in my own care. Do you have any advice as a new nurse? How long does this anxiety last? It's one of the busiest floors in he hospital... during preceptorship I was more comfortable because I had someone by me most of the time. Most of my nervousness comes from being unable to answer patients/families questions, like for procedures or which doctor to contact during certain situations. Also, discharges! The patients/families are eager to leave and I'm nervous I won't be fast enough. I also am hesitant to ask CNAs for help. I know they're busy too... I don't know how to not stress my CNAs out by asking for help. Many guidance or wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Gigi

ATI Med-surg proctored exam
Hello everyone! Tuesday I have to take my ATI med surg exam and we must score at least a level 2. My question is, how does the actual proctored exam compare to the practice tests A and B? Are these the best material to study since the ATI book is so BIG? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Non-accredited RN program
Hi everyone! :) So, I've recently been accepted to start an RN program, however, I've done my research first and discovered they're not NLN accredited. A friend of mine has recently graduated from the same school and was able to find a job successfully in the ER department. Are there nurses that were able to find jobs after completing the NCLEX and receiving their license? Do nurses that go to non-accredited schools have the same opportunities as those who DID go to an accredited school? It's reassuring to me that my friend was able to get a job after graduation, but I'm just nervous I wont be able to because of what I've heard about non-accredited schools. Any information will be a big help! My family is so proud and I don't want to let them down... -Gigi
