PCAs what are your uniforms?

We have to wear a maroon polo, and khaki pants. I would really like to start wearing scrubs, but apparently in ALF we cant because scrubs makes them feel like their in a nursing home.. but its so annoying because we have to give showers and then you get soaking wet and it takes forever to dry, and we have to carry keys, a walkie talkie, AND a pager. and all this has to get clipped on your pants which weighs them down..soo annoying. and its hard to do the 'dirty' work when your dressed nicely. Im just wondering what other PCAs wear... Sorry this is a weird topic but it has really been bugging me lately.:lol2:

I'm a patient care tech in a hospital and I wear scrubs. We can choose from navy blue, maroon, or white for pants. Shirts can be anything that coordinates with those colors. The nurses in my hospital have the same color choices.

In my LTC facility, CNA's wear puke green and LPNs wear transparent white. :barf01:

I'm an NT, and on my floor we can wear whatever scrubs we want :)

Some of the floors in my hospital have "uniforms" though. The NA's and NT's both wear dark gray and the nurses wear ciel blue on those units.

Prior to working at this hospital, I worked as a PCNA (or PCA, same thing) and us + the PCTs (patient care techs) had to wear hunter green which I HATED...but I would honestly rather wear that than all white like the nurses had to!

Ahh i am so jealous! I wish we could wear scrubs! Freaking rediculous, lol. khaki pants cost a lot of money just for them to be stained i cant tell you how many pairs of pants i have thrown away!!
