PBSC Spring 2015 Nursing

It's Pharmacology. They had 1141 which was 2 credit and 2140 which us 3 credit. If you aren't in the program it's almost impossible to get a spot. Advisor told me there where only 15 spots for non nursing students. Might have to take with first semester.

They said too many people were failing the 3 credit pharm, NUR2140. Kinda bummed about not being able to take it before starting, well, hopefully, starting the core nursing classes.

@cgambino70 I was so nervous about taking critical thinking, but I ended up loving it. I took it with Ilse Wallace, she is great. There was quite a bit of reading, but was interesting because all of the medical terminology.

I am worried about it this semester only because of the advisor. I have a 4.0 last two semestets in all science prerequisites so I hope I will be fine. I have Ur restaurant for critical thinking.

So what's everybody taking this summer?

I have critical thinking online the entire summer;

A&P 2 lecture online first half and then lab second half.

Once those are complete, I've finished pre-req's. Fall plan is to retake statistics, pharm if I can get a spot, and whatever else I might need to bring my transcripts up to date for the bsn program.

Finishing my last 4 prereqs as well. Psych, Micro w/lab, art appreciation, and critical thinking. Would like to get pharm but Jessica on this post said that when she went to info session, they said there will only be 2 credit pharm course this year. Not sure what to think but that course most likely will be a first semester course. Advisor assured me when I spoke with her that I had no shot at getting that class before starting the program.

Interestingly enough, the spring semester had a couple openings in pharm once the first day of class happened. I decided not to jump in as I was very science heavy in spring and knew pharm was difficult and time consuming. Ms. B told me that if I could get a pharm class at another college, it could possibly transfer, so might be an option to take at another state college.

I checked Broward and Indian River and nothing. Gotta keep checking. NUR1024 wasn't available since first day of registration and then last week one popped up. Luckily I got one the first day. People will drop when time to pay comes. If not I will take first semester. How many points does everyone have? I am interested to see the points that get in for fall. It will be the first class that will be able to take the Hesi multiple times. I think it changed in October or November of last year. I have 26.8 now but plan on taking the Hesi again to get the extra 2 points so I have 28.8.

So if I jump on the pharm 1024 class in fall (saying one is open & I'm lucky enough to get a spot) should I take it? Will it be equivalent to the pharm we will take in first semester? I'll be taking micro & nutrition this summer & will be then finished with pre req, don't want to be off an entire semester for fall! Lol

The class that will be offered us NUR1141. Its the two credit course. Jessica on this post went to info session and she said they were not offering NUR2140 which was 3 credit but either will work here for BSN, not sure about other colleges. I just got done with Nutrition this spring, easy class online but informative.

I'm taking all my summer classes online . Except for micro lab. I'm a bit worried about micro, heard it's a tough class.
