UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

I created this thread for those applying to Spring 2015 LW Nursing. I am a returning student starting a second career. I have 4 prerequisites left that I am taking this summer. I also am taking the Critical Thinking class for a point. I took the Hesi last week to see how I would do and got an 85. I will have about 27 points for my app so not sure if I will take Hesi again. Good luck everyone.

That's a bunch of crap. I don't spend 3 hours a day on any class. The advisor I talked to the other day was trying to talk me out of nursing. Nice advisors.

Online only with pleasant. Reviews on her are not great, but I had no other choice than to take online. I had to go back and re-read the email several times because I couldn't believe my eyes.

But she did make a point to say that if you aren't going to take this seriously, then don't be selfish and take up a spot that someone else could have. I think she has a point and I can respect the bluntness. However, I'm feeling a bit weary because her rating on rate my professor is not all that great. Guess time will tell, will probably have her again later on as she teaches a few other classes in the program.

I was not surprised. Heard this from a lit of people. Guess they want less people applying. Feel good with 27 points but will feel better with 29 if I get the extra two from the HESI. We will see.

Hi guys! I'm also applying to the spring program, I was going to apply to the fall but because of schedule conflicts I won't be able to, but I'm taking critical thinking this summer online for the point. So my points should be around 28.2 if I get an 8 on the hesi which I'm taking in 2 weeks. My hubby is the program now and he got in with a 26.3 this past fall. Maybe I'll get to have class with some of you this summer for the ones taking critical thinking

I'm taking Critical but could only get the hybrid this summer. I am taking the Hesi again in may to go for the full 10 points. Good luck. Tell more people about this post so we can get more involved. Good to have a big support system. How does your husband like it?

Start looking when payments are due that's usually when there might be opening again for this summer....He likes it a lot but it was stressful this first year because he worked a full time job plus went to school but he managed to pass with A's and B's but his not doing it again next year...he has made close friends and has a good study group that has helped him a lot...the good thing about the fall is that they go from fundamentals straight into med-surge which is typically the hardest semester...whereas the spring has that summer break in between which sucks ( atleast for me )

We need to get a lot more people involved in this post. About 3-4 months until the application comes out and we can share info. I have one more final and then a week off. Finished with 4 of my classes. Little worried about the Critical Thinking course. Some say its easy and others say its a ton of reading. We will see what happens. I have 5 classes this summer and then all my prereqs are done. hoping to snag a pharm class for the fall so I am not twittling my thumbs.

What are the exact class codes for the pharm classes we can take? I want to get one for fall too.

Pharm is being changed. PBSC will only be offering NUR1141 (2 credit course). All the pharm classes are on hold and will not be available till around August or September. I went to an information session on 4/16/14.
