PBSC Spring 2015 Nursing

I created this thread for those applying to Spring 2015 LW Nursing. I am a returning student starting a second career. I have 4 prerequisites left that I am taking this summer. I also am taking the Critical Thinking class for a point. I took the Hesi last week to see how I would do and got an 85. I will have about 27 points for my app so not sure if I will take Hesi again. Good luck everyone.

Also if you don't mind me asking what will your points roughly be after all these changes? & do you know the average of the other girls points as well?

I haven't taken the HESI yet, but I basically need 10 points to be at competition level...and I highly doubt that will happen. Of the group there is only one of us that has taken the HESI so far. Nothing like waiting for the last minute;)! We just want to be prepared and get enough studying in. But I will post when I know our points.

I turned in my application today with 27.24 points for the part time program. I could have retaken the hesi, but it would have taken away from my ability to study for the first pharmacology exam and my first statistics exam. I ended up having the same point differential from the previous application....so now I just have to anxiously await the results.

Yes, still debating on the full-time or part-time program.

@jessica I am at 24 points right now and retaking Hesi on monday. Got an 89 last time and hoping to get an extra 2 points. Contemplating applying to BG. Lost 3 points with new system. Not sure i 24 will get mme in to LW ft. Will have to make my decision after I do my retake.

I spoke with latisha and I asked if it would be reasonable to subtract the 2 residential / fl resident points from the average accepted points last year & she said she's subtract 3 since the volunteer point is gone too. So i think 23 will be the new average for lw FT. When I mentioned that, she agreed. So your 24 will probably be fine!

Wow. Thank you Jessica. That is what I was thinking but makes me feel a bit better. Still would like to get a 91 monday to get the extra point.

Yea go for it! I re take mine on the 22nd! It stinks that were all going into this pool blind not knowing what point average to expect!
