PBSC Spring 2015 Nursing

I created this thread for those applying to Spring 2015 LW Nursing. I am a returning student starting a second career. I have 4 prerequisites left that I am taking this summer. I also am taking the Critical Thinking class for a point. I took the Hesi last week to see how I would do and got an 85. I will have about 27 points for my app so not sure if I will take Hesi again. Good luck everyone.

they need to make sure everyone in the program gets them first and we fight over the few left..

I too missed the Hesi full 10 points by one point (91..)

I bombed the anatomy! I got over a 90 on every other section :/

I could be wrong, but the meeting I went to said that 26.85 was the average for fall, not the lowest. They said the lowest was 25.8.

That being said I pray that it is 25.8 because that leaves me with 26.3 points (I just moved here and don't have the critical thinking course done!)

That happened to me too :/ I literally cried walking out of the testing center. My points aren't as high as yours as a result, though. I have 26.3. Every fiber within me is praying...

I didn't do well on Anatomy either. Got A's in Ap1 and 2 but that didn't help a bit. We will see for the fall if the points went up. I am not concerned with the average either, I just need to get in for spring. I feel confident with 27 points but I am going to take the HESI again in a few weeks and hoping to get the extra two points to be safe. I am in Critical thinking now. It is hard but I got As on my first two tests so its pretty good. It is like two classes i one. Medical Terminology and Test Success. I have Professor Urresta in the hybrid class and she is awesome. I want to have her in the program. My medical terminology is getting so that's a good thing.

How long did it take you all to complete the hesi ? Planning on going in tomorrow for my first attempt at it, want to give myself enough time, any help?

Took me about 2 hours, but they give you four. Bring your I'd and receipt if payment for test. Make sure you create an account and bring log in info. Can't take the test without it.

Have anyone's points showed up under the limited access status page yet? Or has anyone called about how selections are coming? I'm worried that they didn't get my application or something! Otherwise maybe they're just going really slowly...

Usually they send out letters to declined applicants first. Usually around three weeks from deadline people start hearing. I am anxious to see where points are for fall.

I just graduated from the program this past May. I wish all of you much luck! It's a stressful program and it will test you. Keep the bigger picture in mind and study study study!
