PBSC/PBCC August 2010

Published

Hi!

The PBSC/PBCC thread is getting a tad crowded so I figure now is as good a time as any to get the prospective students thread going.

Good luck to everyone!

No, they haven't got back to me. If I don't have an email or the points in the morning I'll head over and see if I can get someone to tell me what's happening. And congrats on the point total! If everything is posted I should have roughly the same amount.

Yeah all of my points were posted at the same time also. It's was probably just a glitch in the processing. I hope they sort it out for you soon. Malenurse86 congrats on the points. It's exciting to end up with more then you expected isn't it? I'm sure we'll all get in :)

Thanks guys. I just talked to them. The woman (I don't remember her name, unfortunately) said that she had about 80 more applications to go through and that more people applied for fall this year over last year.

It was just an oversight, thank goodness.

She also mentioned that she believed the point total went up this year and we're looking at 28+ as the cutoff.

Two more weeks guys!

First time post, but i've been looking at this site for a while. I applied to LW for the fall. It is going to be a long 2 weeks. Last time, it was 14 days on the dot. Good luck to everyone. I hope we all make it. I'm sure there are a lot more peple applying than last time, and the points just keep going up. Eventually you'll need a PhD just to make the cut...ha,ha.

Hey everyone, anxiously waiting for acceptance into Fall

Hopefully will be accepted with a 30.42 according to what my PantherWeb is telling me...

Good luck everybody!

Hi everyone! Im also anxiously waiting to find out, glad we're all in the same boat. The nursing advisor said they send the rejection letters out first, then the acceptance letters go out. Seems like everyone on here has solid points..hopefully we all receive acceptance letters! I have a 29.37 and keeping my fingers tightly crossed. BEST OF LUCK EVERYONE!! Hang in there!

Anyone hunting for shoes yet? My mother is a nurse and she swears by New Balance and Asics. I can't find an all white version though. I'm at the point where I might as well invest in a good pair preemptively even if I have to wait til spring.

My mother (also an RN) also recommended me NB and Asics, not so much the clogs and Croc-like shoes, after all if you're gonna be standing and on your feet for a while, might as well get comfortable ones, even if it means spending a little more in the beginning, your feet will thank you later :p

Nike Shox also seems to be a good pick, if not a bit pricey.

I used to work at a very busy resturant (yardhouse). Dansko clogs are amazing on your feet. But....they aren't cheap around $110.

Oh, I'm definitely going to invest in a good pair of shoes. I'm leaning towards (http://www.zappos.com/new-balance-ww410-white) these.

Good luck everyone. I just finished 1st semester. It was a bear. I am sooooooooo happy to be on summer break.
