PBSC Fall 2012 hopefuls

Hi everyone!! I probably am jumping the gun by posting this already but I'm too excited and just can't believe I'm finishing up my last semester of pre reqs for the program. I take my HESI on Feb 16th. Anyway I just wanted to introduce myself and see if anyone has also taken the hesi and what would be the best study guide to get. Here's to hoping for a great fall!!! :D

I'm at 27.3 points. It seems like most everyone on here should get in? I'm sure there will be a lot of applicants with lower points. Best of luck to you all!!! It is amazing how competitive it is to get into any nursing program these days.

Sorry i'm getting back to you late Michelle 561! I hope you did well on your test you're taking right now.

After I complete a little bit more of Volunteer work I should be at 26.5-ish points. I agree I think even those with 25.somethings will get in too. We can only play the waiting game when we find out if we're accepted. I got a 88.57% on my HESI. I can't believe I was close to the 10 points like the other previous hopeful. The lowest they accepted last semester was a 24.49 pointer. AMAZING NEWS. But, fall is more competitive... I really hope all of us on here will get in :)

What did everyone else get on their HESI? and i think there will be numerous applicants with lower points that will get in as well, or atleast i hope so.

I got an 87.43% on my HESI. I actually got a ~92% on FAU's HESI so I was a little disappointed that I couldn't just use that! It seems pretty hard to get the full 10 points for HESI at PBSC.

RLL67, you go to FAU? So do I... which classes are you in I might know you. I have Snyder for chem and Locsin for intro to nursing

Oh no, sorry, I had applied for their nursing program so I took their HESI.

i got 27.5 points. I know, i hope we all get in!!! :nurse:

Just a note, taking NUR1024 Critical Thinking in Nursing this summer won't help towards Fall 2012 since the class won't end by June 1st (per Rhonda). I know some schools allow you to take a course and get points towards an application and they follow up to see if you pass it so I was assuming I could take NUR 1024 this summer and get another point. Now I feel kinda silly for thinking that but hey, good to know, right?

lol you guys are making me more nervous!! My points will be around 25.7.. But if I don't get in this semester I hopefully should for next because I start working in the hospital in the next few weeks so it will give me that extra point. There was nothing I could do better as far as this sign up.. I have a 3.7 gpa and the 8 points on the hesi but no health care point or critical thinking for nursing...

talking about getting in makes me nervous too! but, its good to have other people around who are going through the same thing. a friend i was going to apply with didn't pass the hesi so i'm all alone. @ rll67 i'm only taking critical thinking for the extra point over the summer just in case i don't get in this time. i hope its all for nothing though...because i want in this time! 2 finals down 4 more to go for me and then i'm applying.
