  1. I took the Kaplan course live and then reviewed for 2 weeks up until my exam!!! :) If you do both Kaplan and NCSBN, you will do just fine on NCLEX. Just practice and understand what you get wrong!
  2. CONGRATS!!!!! 86 questions today and I got the goodpop also!!!!! yay for us!!!!!
  3. 86 questions and I got the good pop up so I passed ahhhh!!!!!! I also felt good about the exam. What I did to prepare... I did ALL of Kaplan questions with 65% average. I didn't watch content videos but I heard they're helpful... I just like questions and rationales. NCSBN I did 800 questions from their bank, I found these easier than Kaplan. Scores ranged from 50 - 100% but the tests are short (20 questions) Saunders has some SATA practice, did like 200 of those but I did pretty bad on most of them... AND I PASSED NCLEX! Don't get discouraged!!! NCLEX SATA seemed more straightforward "Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment: Practice Exercises" by LaCharity is a great book if you want practice on those question types. I did all 18 chapters of practice questions but didn't get to the case studies. I feel like Kaplan alone would've been enough since their questions felt much harder than the NCLEX to me. NCSBN was also helpful and similar to NCLEX so I'm sure that alone would prepare you too. I think it all depends on what you feel you need practice in. Last thing!!! What I did the day before NCLEX: got a massage, walked on the beach alone to think, and did very MINIMAL review of notes. GOOD LUCK!!!! You can do it!!!! Just breath and be confident in your ability to think the questions through. :inlove:
  4. Same! texaslvn12 I did LaCharity PDA questions today and I reviewed my notes. Tomorrow I'm going to the beach! I will probably read over some basic notes and lab values but that's it. We just have to be confident and breathe and we will pass. :)
  5. I am taking the NCLEX June 9th as well and I'm preparing exactly the same as you (Kaplan, NCSBN, Saunders, and LaCharity PDA). I am feeling pretty good but I don't know if I'll ever feel totally prepared... I go back and forth between "Let me take it already!" and "I need more time to study." Good luck to you all!!!! We can definitely do it! Friends who have taken it recently haven't told me anything surprising... lots of SATA and delegation.
  6. That is true. :) Thank you so much!
  7. Ah, I should have applied to UM! haha. Oh well, there's always another chance in the future.
  8. That is true. Thank you for the positive thoughts! I wish you the best of luck at UM. It is a great school!!
  9. My overall GPA is quite low... 3.3 :/ and my pre-requisites are only 3.5. I did very well (~98%) on both the TEAS and HESI. I have a ton of volunteer/health experience so I'm hoping that USF will work out with that... I know my chances are low with the whole GPA thing. I may have to just go with a private institution.
  10. That is true! Jackson Memorial is amazing... I debated applying to UM because of it but I wanted to take my chance on the public programs for now. I have applied to UCF and USF. UCF seems to have less applicants and USF focuses more on the personal essay which is nice. I've been nervous ever since FAU did not accept me but I'm sure it'll all work out.
  11. Thank you and congrats!!! :) May I ask why you chose UM over FAU? Just closer or something?
  12. I found out that I was not accepted last Friday (Feb. 24th). It seems that they really prefer FAU native freshman applicants. Also, I'm sure the enormous amount of applications did not help... Congrats to those who did get accepted! :) I am jealous.
  13. So hopefully we should find out in 3 to 4 weeks about USF's program. :) At least that's what I gathered from what I read.
  14. I am getting so anxious too... Do you think we will find out before 5 p.m.? I can check my e-mail around 2:30 p.m. and then again around 7 p.m. I hope I get an e-mail by 2:30!!! I got an e-mail from FAU last Friday at 4:58 p.m., haha. I did not get accepted there but I heard they prefer FAU native freshman students (which I am not). Best of luck to everyone!!! :)
  15. My family is checking down in South Florida (West Palm Beach area) and they said no letter today. Mail usually takes 2 days between there and Gainesville so I'm hoping tomorrow (Tuesday) or Wednesday- ahh!!!
