Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.
I read on line that this school works on a point system
I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program
(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO
WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.
Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.
Thanks
oops that was a duplicate. The color is blue. They recommend copy's. The lady from the store told me around $340.00 for everything including 2 sets of the uniform and stethoscope, and shoes.
omg!! $340 for 2 sets of uniform that is crazy. my school sell the uniform for $7 for pants $7 for top.
maybe she meant with books and all. do you get shoes also?
anyone that did get workforce alliance to call them back regarding the scholarship please let me know. i have called everyday for a week and no such luck.thanks.
you have to stay on top on them, dont expect them to call you...you call them. keep calling (aka bugging lol) till they get tired of you. (thats what i did atleast) afterall they have something that you need.
government agencies are never friendly or courteous keep that in mind when you call. so if staff comes on the phone and doesnt give you the information/answer you were seeking, hang up and call again. 95% of the time you will get a different and better answer. try this contact. good luck
did you get accepted in a program???

Yes i got in, but i called the belle glade workforce alliance, and got someone to speak with me right away. Did you see how many books were needed the first semester? I am looking at $1000 for just books and uniforms and I still have to get the background check and drug testing done so I was sick of waiting for the west palm beach office. They are so rude and they cant answer any of my questions. I figured persistance would be the key, but I was always routed to a secreatry who took my name and number but I dont think she knew what I was talking about. The lady at Belle Glade was very professional and very sweet. She said she would help me even though I live in west palm and was accomadating with my work schedule.
hey 2bnurse, can you give me some info on those scholarships you found. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
the other scholarships i have application doesnt open up untill december 1st, so it kind of useless at this point. i will post the info when the time comes. but as of right now workforce is your best bet. trust me they will fund your education just be a little patient. within 1-2 weeks all the paperwork will be done and the funds sent to your school.
you might have to take a trip down to the office so you can pick up the package and necessary paperwork. get on it...time is ticking.
