Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of study for the nurse Procalc and the NLN entrance exam for PBCC fall nursing program.
I read on line that this school works on a point system
I was wondering if anyone who has been accepted to the program
(past/Present) student: HOW MANY POINTS DID YOU HAVE TO
WHEN ACCEPTED TO THE PROGRAM.
Anyone with info about the program, would be helpful.
Thanks
Totally disgusted with this process!!! I will have to quit my job if I get in and we are a small office so I need to give them as much notice as possible!! Freaking out! But I have heard that if you haven't heard it may be good news. If you call the nursing office and ask they pretty much say we don't know anything!! Good Luck!

Same here Krislynn,
I will have to quit and move!
Good luck to you!
I REALLY expected to hear by now
Well...it's Friday well after 4pm...so they are gone for the day. Another weekend of uncertainty. Frankly I am very disgusted with the process. I have also heard that if you have not received a denial by now, that you are pretty much in. But I have also heard that an appeal from someone could take up a spot if approved. If what I heard about the points is correct then I am only one fifteenth of a point away from the cutoff. So I am not comfortable with making plans without knowing for sure. I just think it is inconsiderate, and just ridiculous that now we are on to week 5 and November into the process. Someone said on an earlier post that they got an email and that it was to be FINALIZED TODAY.....CLEARLY that didn't happen!!
When I called up there they basically said they had more applicants than ever before (prob bc they accepted the hesi as well as the nln) They said notices should go out within the next week. He also told me to keep in mind that some students who are accepted will either 1. not attend bc they choose another school, 2. fail drug or background test, 3. not attend orientation, 4. FinAID doesnt go through and they cant pay for classes. This is good news if you are around the cutoff to get in. The bad news is, you can literally find out the day before classes start. He said it is not unsual to accept a few students the week of classes. I guess all we can do is sit back and wait.
I too will have to move and quit my job if im accepted, which really does just make it that much more stressful. oh well... It will all be worth it if i get in!!
