I seen a couple of students taking pathophysiology and I thought a thread would be useful for everyone. I am also taking nutrition which I had already but it is to old, and nursing concepts. Does everyone feel ready for this class?

Hi there Camwill!!
Ready or not, here I come! Lol.
I was actually thinking the other day...'I wish the instructor would put the syllabus online so I can get a jump start on reading!!'
How nuts is that?!

I agree I just opened the book and started reading. I figure it can't hurt. We start on the 21st. No syllabus until then for me. I did that for anatomy and physiology and it was a good choice! What does your book start with?
We are using Understanding Pathophysiology 5th Edition by Huether and McCance. You?
Pathophysiology fourth edition lee-ellen copstead and banasik

Count me in on this thread! I think mine goes the 4th to the 27th as well. I'm taking it online through Butler CC.
Mine starts 21st May till 11th July

Great Idea!
My Patho class starts June 30th for 11 weeks. We will be using Pathophysiology for the Health Professions - Barbara E Gould (3rd edition).
I'm looking forward to this class.
Ixchel - Butler...what state if I may ask?
It's Kansas. My school requires patho before the program starts, but transfers from the local community college won't be able to take it because it's not offered at the CC and the seats at the university are always filled by pre-nursing students. So they always recommend Nebraska online (Lincoln campus) but it costs a ridiculous amount of money. So after some research, a wonderful classmate mentioned Butler. It costs half the tuition and is also 4 credits. The only disadvantage is Nebraska is self-paced.
Lol, ok! I live in Ohio close to the Indiana and Michigan borders...in Indiana, there is a town named Butler so I thought maybe you were close by!
I think it's awesome that we have a couple of Patho summer students on here! It will be great to stay in touch!
