pathophysiology summer 2012

I seen a couple of students taking pathophysiology and I thought a thread would be useful for everyone. I am also taking nutrition which I had already but it is to old, and nursing concepts. Does everyone feel ready for this class?

Anyone already taken Patho course at Valdosta State University because im currently taking it fall 2012 and using Understanding Pathophysiology 5th edition. Any online resources one can suggest for me would be appreciated

@ixchel - How did you do in your online patho class? I am planning on taking it in summer '13 and wonder if I can also pair it Micro. Think it's doable? I've been hearing how much harder online patho is (but not directed at Butler) and that I might do better in an in class one.

just wanted to give my thoughts about this...

I'm currently a senior in nursing school. if i could do it all over again i would have taken my patho class as a full semester. i took my class over the summer and it was a disaster ! There is A LOT of information that's so useful for you to carry over into your nursing education. Definitely pay lots of attention. I don't know how other ppl feel about but that's my two cents on it.

Taking class next semester but the Prof. will not post syllabus online so I can start studying cos is a huge textbook

I am so sorry I didn't see this sooner! You know what? Butler was not mind blowing. If micro is over 6 weeks at the same time as patho, and if you have kids or work, I would not recommend doing them simultaneously....not if you want As in both and to actually learn them. It is possible to do well in patho through without putting way too much effort into it, but that would not really help you when you need it later.
