Passed The Psb!! Upmc Shadyside

Published

I have been freaking out for the past two months studying for the PSB. I took it on 8/29/08 for admittance to UPMC Shadyside. Well I just got my results back.....99 percentile for verbal, 99 for math, 99 for reading comp, and 98 for natural sciences!!!!:loveya:I'm shocked!!! I started hardly knowing anything about natural sciences!!! I've been out of school for a while. I'm really ecstatic. If anyone has any questions about the test, I'd be happy to answer them. Also, with my test results, are my chances pretty high for getting into Shadyside? Thanks!

Okay ladies, I called the cogent office in Dublin, Ohio. 614-718-9691 ext. 3304, and they are overnighting my form, through fed-ex to me. I should have it tomorrow. If you guys can, call this number and explain the situation and hopefully they can help you out. Good luck, I'll see everyone on monday! I hope you guys get it figured out, keep me informed.

Here's part of the email I just sent to Joanne - hopefully she can get a login and start pulling these up online. It doesn't look like I'll be able to get a printed copy from them, because I didn't check the box to get an unofficial copy because the Cogent rep told me the school would be accessing online (which I'm regretting now). If she can't get online access, it doesn't look like I'm going to be starting this semester . . . :(

Hi Joanne,

I just spoke with the Department of Education. She told me that all schools (both K-12 and all higher education) are to be accessing the reports online now, and should not be accepting the unofficial printed copies. If you do not have a registration id and password, she told me that the SHY SON should send an email to [email protected] to request this, to get access online. The only information you will need from the students are their registration id.

Try calling this number 614-718-9691 ext. 3304 and see if they can overnight you your results. That's what they are doing for me. See if that works. Best of luck, if not you can still drive to Dublin Ohio and pick up the results.

Wow - ok, Sarah's number is the number to call (614-718-9691, ext. 3304)! He's printing a copy and overnighting it to me. It will arrive at my house on Monday by 10:30 a.m. Talk about cutting it close!! If anyone else is having these problems - call this number - they will help!! Thank you to everyone on this thread helping me through this extremely stressful situation - hope to see you all on Monday!

I'm glad that it all worked out for you. I am in my second year of E/W, and we were just told this year about the fingerprints, although we were told we didn't need them till our OB/PEDS rotation. I wonder why they are having you get them now? Also, they have to be renewed every year..........why, I don't know, being that your fingerprints don't change.......but it is in the school handbook. Good luck on Monday! What classes will you all be taking?

i think it depends on what section you are in based on what you have done already that you transferred in.. i am in group B and we have microbiology A&P 1 nursing 100 and nursing 101

Thank you very much! I hope it works out for everyone else that was having problems too!

I'll have 4 classes this semester: Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, Nursing 100, and Nursing 101.

I'm glad it worked out for you. Did Joanne say it was okay for you to get the document to her by monday? I only have 3 classes, I already took A&P. What's your schedule like for the rest of your classes. I'll see you at orientation on Monday!

Sarah

Nursing 101 is a great class. It has been my favorite so far:)

Yes - she said as long as I get it to her by Monday, I'll be ok. I'm in group A - anyone else in that group?
