Passed with 75!

Published

I took my NCLEX Thursday at 1 pm and checked my BON this morning and my license is active!

I had 70% sata and thought it was super hard, but I just kept pushing through waiting for that magic number 75, and then it was done. I was surprised and shocked and did not feel like I passed but hoped for the best! All my family and friends were very positive and supportive, which definitely helped. I used Saunders 6th edition and the Lacharity PDA to study. I did about 300 questions a day for two weeks and refreshed content using Saunders. The day before I did NO studying. Just relaxed and had a Netflix marathon.

I did use the PVT about 5 hours after-I just couldn't wait-and got the good pop-up. I was only half relieved and waited until after the 24 hour mark to try again and still had the good pop-up. I was still a little skeptical until I got my license, but it's here now!

I read this site for encouragement and ideas before my test and promised myself I would post in hopes of helping someone else too!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! In your opinion were the NCLEX questions similar to Saunders, do you believe Saunders really helped you to pass boards? Thanks, once again CONGRATULATIONS, you have worked s hard to earn it!

I gave my nclex today at 8:00 am. Tried to do the PVT good pop but sadly I have to pay the 200 fee and no good pop up. My board of nursing is virginia and is not participated in quick results with Pearson Vue . Is this pop thing final ? Did I really fail the exam? Has anybody had an experience of paying 200 dollars and later pass the exam ??í ½í¸‚

I think the Saunders questions were a little easy compared to the NCLEX, I liked the content the most. My school required ATI testing and I feel those questions were more comparable. But whatever practice you can get answering them will help!

It's best to wait 24 hours to try the PVT since the test is graded twice so the first score may not be correct. Everybody goes to the credit card page now. Did you put in your credit card information and actually get charged $200? If it charged your credit card, my best guess is that you indeed failed. :( If you didn't input your credit card information, then you didn't do the trick correctly.

It's scored twice from what I understand and there's a small chance that you can still pass if it hasn't been 24 hours yet. That's why I was skeptical of my first time before 24 hours because the test is graded twice.

Thanku .. But may b I failed, since my card is already charged now í ½í¸”

Congratulations mandafurr! Do you think Saunders and LaCharity's PDA book are sufficient for the NCLEX? Those are the two than I am using.. I went to the Hurst Review and did not think it was helpful (great for patho though!), so I will not be using those materials.

Well I hope for some good news for you! Fingers crossed!

Thank you!

That's the majority of what I used and thought it was fine. We had the ATI in our program though and of all the things I used that would be the closest to NCLEX style questions, however the rationales they give are absolute crap. It will just say "That is a priority, but not the most important thing." BUT WHY?!?!! It drove me crazy. That's why I like Saunders, they give great rationales, because I don't want to just get the answer right, I want to know the why behind it. Hope this helps!

YAY! Congratulations for your licensure! I hope I can say this by Friday:)
