  5. At first, I did the 75 exam from Saunders and it develops a study calendar for you according to your exam results. I focused on my weakest areas. After I got done with that I purchased the Kaplan NCLEX-PN Strategies book and did some questions from the book, which were really helpful. Then I started to get bored doing questions from the same book, so I changed it a lil bit to make it fun. I had 6 resources to study from but I only did questions from the resources no reading content. The 6 resources I had are: Saunders, Mosbys for NCLEX-PN, NCLEX 3000, Exam Cram 1000 practice questions, Exam Cram content book and used the cd for questions, Kaplan. I motivated myself to do 200 questions a day from these resources. So I took a sheet of paper and cut pieces and wrote down the names of the resources and folded them to where I couldn't see the name and I would draw from my 6 pieces of paper. So like for example, if I drew Saunders I would do only 35 questions from there since 200/6 is 33.3 so I decided to bump it to 35, and after I was done with Saunders I would put Saunders away for the day and draw again. After I had done 2 resources I would take a break. I know it sounds crazy but that's how I did it and it worked for me. But if I had to choose the best one it would be Kaplan. Hope my idea helps you.
  6. Hello, I was wondering how do you keep yourself from forgetting what you learned in nursing school? I have graduated nursing school and am applying for jobs but in the mean time I just feel bad not doing nothing related to nursing. What happens when time passes by and your not putting your nursing skills into practice? Should I keep reviewing my notes from nursing school to stay fresh and not forget anything by the time I do get a job?
  7. Hello, allnurses I wanted to tell everybody thank you for posting on my comments and giving me inspiration through my studying. I am officially an LPN, I took NCLEX on February 9 and the computer shut off at 89 questions. I had mixed emotions about it after I have finished, but I trust in a all mighty God for helping me to pass this test that means a lot to me. I want to tell everybody who is about to take NCLEX PN or RN to have faith in God and to do your part and God will do the rest. Don't ever give up, we have made it through nursing school and now we are going to pass NCLEX :) Thanks again for all the inspiring stories.
