I graduated in Dec 2012 with the holidays and work, I ended up studying a little the beginning of January. I really started studying hard end of January throughout Feb. I used NCSBN and did the 3 week subscription twice. They had alot of great questions and material with similar questions to NCLEX. I used Saunders to practice 50-100 questions per day. I also read through a Marlene Hurst book that gave general ideas about charts, ADPIE, and test anxiety. I also purchased Prioritization, Delegation, and assignment book by Mosby. I did about half of the book and got a good understanding of priority and delegation. I also looked through Kaplan for different diseases, diagnostic tests, diets, ect.
Day before exam: I didn't take any phone calls the day before the test I just reviewed labs and other areas that I felt weak in. I took my test and it ended at 265! I was nervous, but, I kept praying and tried to stay positive throughout my test. I found out I passed the next day. Study hard, pray hard, and believe in yourself because you know waaaaay more than you think you know. I can truly say it doesn't matter what number your test shuts off at all that matters is you passing. Good Luck to all and remember these words...YOU CAN DO IT! :)
Resources: #1 Ncsbn, Saunders (core content & questions), Marlene Hurst (general overview of nclex topics), Kaplan RN Course book (resource book for: diseases, labs, ethics, maternity specifics..alot of reading), Mosby NCLEX Prioritization Assgn, Deleg (quest and details about deleg & priorities)

Congratulations! I took the NCLEX on Monday and got the good pop up. I'm praying that I passed.
I agree with your resources:
- NCSBN and PDA by LaCharity most resembled the NCLEX in my opinion.
- Use Saunders for content. (I felt their questions were a bit easy).
- Kaplan has some decent strategies.

Congrats!!!
Thank you so much BolBol and californiaboy!! BolBol, you got the good pop up too...well that is a good sign. I think I did the pearsonvue trick thing over a hundred times, many of my friends that have passed before me told me that it works.
One person didn't pass and it asked for their credit card infomation. I am sure you passed with flying colors!! Did you check on the board of nursing website in your state? Usually the next day you can see your status.
Yeah, those resources really helped me and alot of prayers :) All the best

After your test try to register again on the Pearson Vue site. If a pop up message appears that says you can't register at this time it means you have passed. If you are directed to the page to put in your credit card number it means you did not. But first your status must say Delivery Successful. This is called the PVT or "good pop up".

Congratulations on passing! I was just curious what the 3-week subscription on the NCBSN consists of and how you access it? Also, how much does it cost? I can't find anything to sign up for on the website.
Also, is anyone aware what the new change to the NCLEX standard really consists of that goes into effect 4/1/2013? Thanks. I just got my ATT so here goes the process, right? Eek!!

Look up NCLEX April 2013 on YouTube, there are two short videos by Kaplan that explain the changes.

CONGRATZ!!
Thanks everyone,
Emily42 the 3 week sub from NCSBN was about 50 bucks. I read through the majority of it and did most of the practice tests but I didnt finish the whole thing. The website is NCSBN Learning Extension . NCLEX preparation . Continuing Education for Nurses . Nursing Faculty Education and the subscription info will come up on the website. All the best on your exam!!
