Passed Nclex-RN, License not issued yet, frustrated...

i took and passed the nclex-rn this weekend in pa at a local testing center but still no license so far. i know what they tell you, it could take 4-6 weeks to get the actual license in the mail. i understand that, but the license usually posts instantly on the web within a day or two even before the actual copy hits the post office. the only frustrating part about this that just about everyone i talk to has theirs in a matter of a day or two. i even had a few classmates that had tested over the weekend and all of theirs had processed as of monday.

i checked with the quick results and verified i passed. i called the bon to see if they have heard anything and they said they didn't receive my result from pearson.this caught me off guard because on the pearson website it says results successfully transmitted (so they should have it). i called them to confirm and the person on the other end told me that the result was transferred.

so now i have:

- no license (which is stressful because an employer has expressed interest and wants to know what's up/when i might be able to start)

- pearson telling me they sent it. also refused to resend it on my request andjust said to wait 4 weeks.

- a (nice) lady on the phone at the bon telling me they never got it

- a follow up e-mail to the bon yielded a reply that just stated the "2-30 days to process". the reply didnt sould like it was looked into too much other than to verify the basic info.

i have a feeling i know what is going to happen...

somewhere along the line something probably got messed up, be it an electronic transmission or a misplaced printout of the result. from the sounds of it, it will never be looked into or discovered/fixed until the 4 weeks have elapsed.

if everyone else who tested in the same timeframe got theirs already and mine is still missing isn't that an indication that the ball got dropped somewhere and thus worth looking into sans quoting the "2-30days"?

frustrated -

i know the stuff we get from pearson says not to pest the bon and bother them with calling but i not really all that excited to wait 4 weeks only to have someone say "yea, your right something is messed up and this license probably could have been issued weeks ago but we'll get it straightened out".

advice? anyone have a similar experience? is there something that i am missing? is the way that they process them such that they arent in date order, thus why i am still in limbo?

I took nclex last Friday and got my quick results yesterday that I passed. I still cant find my name with a license #, it just says Pending. Im just waiting. My friends assured me that I should get the actual license within a week because they did.

I hope it does come through soon so I can move forward and hopefully get some work. Anyone else have any experiences with it taking a while (for whatever reason) to get everything through and a license issued?

I took my NCLEX June 6th and It didn't come on my BON that my licensed was issued until July 2nd and then came in the mail on July 7th. It seems to take much longer for the the students in my class who took their exam later in the month. It definitely depends on the state you live in though.

Can you call Pearson VUE and ask them to resend the results to your BON?

as it were the noisy gear gets the grease.my follow-ups with the bon yielded results and it got issued today. about 8 hours after having a license i have a job offer for a summer camp. man that is crazy. i am expected to start on friday so i am pack up me and my daughter in preparation for our 3 week journey. i am still a bit shell shocked. i was pushing to try and get this license issued because i have an interested employer but that might not happen for a little. you just never know with the hospitals whether it's a week or a month later that they need you. in the meantime this summer camp job just fell out of the sky and i need the money. this one was not even the reason i was trying to get it issued but it worked out because they needed someone licensed and now i am.

--speechless--

I know this post is old but just found out I passed last Wednesday after paying for my quick results. Can any of you tell me the link to the PA BON page where they post the license numbers? I have an upcoming interview and still haven't received my license in the mail.

Why didn't you just type PA Board of Nursing into Google? Took me about two seconds to find this:

Good luck.
