Congratulations Nurse Angel!!!! I just took mine December 10th in California and am awaiting the results. I keep praying to God every day that I receive that small white envelope. From what I have read on this board, it looks like I have at least 13 more days to go and up to 3.5 more weeks!!!!
My test, too, stopped at 85. Although it is not a given that I have passed, it looks good. I either bombed it or I passed it with flying colors. I know that I answered the last several questions correctly. My last question involved celiac disease...and I knew the answer. The one before that invloved epiglottitis and I knew that one as well.
Many questions were priority questions, and I had several "check all that apply" questions. I was so shocked when it stopped at 85!!!! My heart dropped into my stomach as the screen when blank and then refreshed itself out of testing mode!!!
The test was no different than most tests in school. A few things always seem to come from left field. Most things you recognize and can reason out. Many things you know and can only narrow the answers down to two; but, you still aren't positive as to whether or not you answered correctly. Several questions are always straight forward and you just scan the answers and pick the right one.
I studied Saunders as Ms. Suzan suggested. I then did every singe question on the CD ROM, reading every rationale. I bookmarked every question that I missed and every question that I got right but involved subjects that I knew I needed to know more thoroughly. I then redid each question in the book once more, reviewing subjects for the questions that I missed, one last time. I also reviewed lab values and some meds.
I will update you guys as to whether I passed!!! Pray for me. There is no way I can do this without God!!!
