Passed NCLEX/PN, delay in license due to past conviction

Please help!

I just received my NCLEX/PN results. I passed!

However there is a delay in my license due to a past conviction of a misdemeanor charge (petty thief) from seven years ago that the BON needs to look in to. I reported the conviction when I applied, I gave them all the paper work, I sent them a letter explaining the conviction in detail, and also the conviction was expunged.

I am a wreck. I am so scared. Has this happened to anyone else.:cry:

I know most people will say, you have to wait and hear from the BON. I called them, they said I have to wait one to one and half more weeks to hear from them. I have already waited over a month due to the fact that I live in California and it take that long to get results.

I would just like to know if any one else had a misdemeanor charge and passed their boards, recieved this notice and still will able to obtain their license.

I am so scared. Please help.:cry:

I have heard of someone getting delayed due to a conviction, but ultimately received his RN license. So good luck. You should have heard something from them by now though, so keep us posted.

i am going through the same situation. mine has to do with traffic citations. my d/l was suspended because of late paid tickets. i took nclex feb 11. a month later, the board requested paperwork.i gave it to them march 11. i found out i passed on the 17th. im also from california. which sucks, because they take forever with this crap. i called my analyst last week, and he finally answered. he told me it would be a few more weeks. it is frustrating. let me know if you have heard from them. i wonder how long i will have to wait.

Im expecting to have at least 1 felony on my history before I even get to take the NCLEX exam and I called the NYS BON and they said as long as the case is over and I'm not on probation or anything, that I will definitely get my license. Getting a job on the other hand, will prove to be much harder...

All of those positive saying are helpful, but when you realize that you will never be able to run away from your pass, because someone refuses to give you a chance is rough!!!!! Whats the reward of having the lic. if you can't put it to use???

well like I just posted, getting the license seems to not be so hard, its getting a job that seems to be the difficult part.

I know trust me!!! I only speak on things that I have a experience in except I have an RN lic. that was not bad, it is the JOB HUNTING!!!!!! i have sent out over 300 apps in 3 different states.

As indicated in my post, I do understand that you have the lic. but what I said in response to someone who responded to you, is what is the reward of of having a lic. if you can not put it to use, meaning if you cant get a job whats the point of having the lic.?!!!

i also passed my nclex pn dec.6 2009 but the bon put my license on hold bec. they said that i did not disclosed my dui first offense conviction back in 1998 in the blue convition record form. i remember that the question goes like this. have you ever convicted of any traffic violation or offense? and i answered it no in the square box.bec this is 12 years ago it should be exponged out of my record.then the bon said i need to send them all the court document and the police document and the completion of the dui school program back in 1998 conviction.so after i week i got it all set and sent it to them. and after 2 months i got a letter from the bon and i tought its my license but instead they denied my application for licensure. they said that i need make a request letter for administrative hearing and i did and thats what im waiting for now its been a month know waiting for the administrative hearing and im really scared.bon said that the administrative judge the will decide if i will get my license.so if theres anyone here been to this type of situation.pls tell me how long do i need to wait for the hearing? because the bon dont have any idea.
