Passed for CNA, when will my name show on registry?

I took the test Saturday and got my confirmation that same day. How long does it take for my name to show on the registry? I'm ready to get a job!! ?

I believe mine took about 7 days from my exam date to show up on the registry.

I don't believe that you have to wait until your name is on the registry to get a job. I was hired and started my job before my name was added. They told me all I needed to get a job was the testing sheet that I got from the examiner (which acts as a temporary certificate until you receive your official one from the state).

If your username is "eveningsky339" it will take about a month because you washed your social security card in the laundry. And you have just been hired and need hours but can't start because you aren't on the registry yet. :uhoh3:

I also toke my exam on a saturday, and saw my name on the registry the following wednesday. They didn't mail me my certification card until about 3 weeks after my test date. You can always print out copies of the webpage that shows your name and certification number, as proof of state registry to future employers in the time that you wait for your card. Congratulations on passing your exams and good luck job hunting!

Ive been wondering the same thing also.

I took it on Wednesday and the wait is driving me insane :sniff: wish I couldve found out right there and then.

I also just took my exam and passed it this wednesday just passed how long do i have to wait to apply for a job?

If the test proctor gave you a "temporary" certificate (ie, your score sheet from the exam) then you can be hired immediately.

If not, you may have to wait to be hired until your certificate shows up in the mail.

I think it all depends on the state you are in.

My name was on the registry a week to the day I was tested and I got my card in the mail today. :yeah:

It took 2 months for me to show up on the registry. And I JUST got my certificate in the mail a couple weeks ago (nearly 2 years after the fact- it's almost time to renew!).

I took my test 4-17 and got on registry 4-23 so i am now a cna yay!!! now i can get my dollar an hour raise (still not enough):):)
