Passed CA NCLEX 2008, just got SSN this 2012, applied for CA-RN license

Hi to all! I passed the nclex last 2008. I just got my SSN last month as an employer based immigrant. Just a week ago, I submitted my Completed Application for Licensure by Examination including a U.S. social security number as instructed by the CA BON. My school also forwarded the needed documents.

My questions are:

Has someone gone through the same thing as I am?

What happened?

Did they release your license or not?

If yes: How long did you wait for your license?

If not: What did they say? Can you send me a copy? Did they make you do further studies?

--As i have said, I am on employment based petition, so with this, my employer is waiting for my license. With this, my life is on hold. I hope to be enlightened with this. Thank you so much.

Just have faith! That is a good sign...i believe one of these days you will receive your license... Me As well, got married ,sent them my marriage certificate and upon checking my status its already in my married name.. Goodluck!!! God bless!

hi im so glad I came across with this forum its a relief reading the convers from the start til this page, I just here in US a mos ago as immigrant thru spousal visa but me and my husband is in new jersey. I also passed my nclex last 2008, and as far as i.ve read there is none who got denied even though the pass letter has been expired. now im currently waiting for my ssn, kind of taking them awhile now to issue one. anyway, I called the ca bon and the one that I spoke to told me that she'll me a mail stuff, I guess it is the application form, fingerprint card etc. hopefully i'l get a positive result as I go about this process. I also got a new married name and sending of the marriage cert was a great idea. atleast the CA BON will know the current legal name we are holding. all the best for those that have same situation as I am right now and congratulations to those who have their license already. im crossing my finger that I have same fate as of you guys. :)

Hi! To anyone who can answer this. I received already my pocket fronm BON more than a week ago, whats inside is the CERTIFICATE.

My question is how many more days will i receive my LICENSE CARD?

Winel i wanna ask you if you used to call them and check on your app, anyone in particular? how do you know who is evaluating your app

I didn't contact them.. I was planning, because they say dont contact them 4-6 weeks after they cashout. Luckily bout 3weeks after they cash out, i see my name already in website.

Hi everyone, just done reading this thread from the start up to the last page and I really thank God for showing me this topic. Thanks everyone for sharing all your experiences. It really helped a lot..I was almost hopeless before in getting my license.

My concern now is my SSN, is there any other way for me to get ssn here? I just came here last July, I don't have my SSN yet because right now I'm still with my H4 visa meaning I'm a dependent of my husband(working Visa) and still waiting for PR approval..has no idea yet when it's gonna be. I also passed nclex last 2008 and I really wanted to file for application of my license the soonest I can because I heard that once it's been 8 years already I will take the exam again.:(

I hope anyone could help me or please give me some advise so that I could proceed on what I need to do because I don't wanna waste time especially now that that I know that it is still possible to get my license. Thank you in advance and congrats to all who had successfully got their license.God bless us all.

What country are you from? As there are different timing of granting of visas etc.
