Well, here we go, take 3!

FYI West Campus is out of Dosage Calculation Access and Course Manuals......and no clue when they will be back in. WHAT First class is on Tuesday and they don't know when they will be in.

I was lucky and got my funds today now I just need to find out how to change my tuition from my Pell to the WIA. I guess I know what I'm doing after work tomorrow back to West Campus.

I actually like my uniform I must be sick I also love my new lab coats. So sexy

Wow. Hope we don't need those materials right away!

Let us know what you find out on the Pell/WIA thing r/t tuition, please!

Can you try on the uniforms to find out what size you need? I don't remember seeing a "dressing room" where you might do that in the bookstore.

I guessed.....It makes my chest look huge but slims me at the same time.

I will keep you advised. I thought I saw that we needed the course manual the first day as we were going to be reviewing it. If I find any mor info I'll share.

Sheila is no longer working at Career Central. Everything got dumped in Belinda's lap...she's doing as much as she can as fast as she can. Some of us haven't even gotten disbursements for books, let alone anything else! Try Belinda tomorrow...she was out of the office all day today.

Kchandler, not sure if WIA will switch tuition if you get PELL to cover it. That's what they told me anyway. I hope for you or anyone else it's different. I have a full PELL but if there is another way to get WIA to pay for tuition instead I'm all for it!

The bookstore ladies let Becky and I go into the bathroom outside to try them on. I'm sure they'll let you too.

I was told that thru the RMCBP Sponsorship that WIA paid for tuition, books and supplies and the PELL could be kept. I'll let you know as soon as I get back from WC tomorrow. I get out of work at 11AM (should be to campus by noon if the peeps at work don't throw me a party....not holding my breat everyone is broke).

I still haven't gotten anything! I sent an e-mail to th goodwill people and have yet to get a response. Is PHCC even open today? Officially entering freak out mode.... NOW.

West Campus again no Course Manual I asked again when might be in I was told went to the printer today the earliest would be Tuesday....They Bookstore guy said "maybe you can go to the Nursing Dept and ask if you can make a copy of it" Nice because that's gonna happen.

Yaz WIA did put money on my account for Tuition so after the wait in Financial Aid it was less than a min before she switched my tuition to come out of my WIA instead of Pell. The case worker I met with says w. the sponsorship it goes WIA, Hospital then Pell. However if you are Getting only WIA with no sponsorship it goes Pell then WIA.

Can anyone who has the course manual please tell me what the first reading assignments are?

I finally got some of the books, but not all of them. They didn't put enough in to get everything plus the store was out of a couple of items as well. And yes, please, can any of you post the first couple of assignments from the course manual? I would really appreciate it!

First weeks readings are as follows:

Class Orientation, No readings. Bring course manual.

The Profession and Practice of Nursing, P&P chapters 1, 4, & 8

Foundations of Mental Health LAP, P&P chapters 3, 4 (pp 49-50 only), and 11

Communication, P&P chapter 24

Basic Health Needs & Functional Assessment, P&P ch 4, p.48 and ch 6, pp71-72

Safety Needs, P&P ch 38

Assessment: Data Collection, P&P ch 16

Week 2 has a ton of omissions so I am going to NOT type it up...lol, but it's chapter 33, 37 and 48

I am starting to FREAK OUT. I will NOT FREAK OUT. I will be calm and composed. Let's do this thing :)
