Hey, Whiskey North is on N Dale Mabry near where the Melting Pot is. I am down for there or Aja, it doesn't matter to me! Aja might be nice because it's a straight shot down from Spring Hill and it's right beside my house. Or anywhere in between as long as we are all cool with it :)

No funds yet... I just got a call today saying I needed to re-send my book lists and amounts to someone and goodwill-suncoast. Really want to get the ball rolling!

No funds yet... I just got a call today saying I needed to re-send my book lists and amounts to someone and goodwill-suncoast. Really want to get the ball rolling!

What? I emailed the rep I met with previously she stated they were working with PHCC and I was one of the accounts discussed yesterday. My Section has been updated to 3901 however I have no funds in my account to get my books and uniforms. I also was not provided info as to when to check on my funds so I can purchase my stuff.

Sadly I can not join you ladies this weekned my children have conned their way into having friends over this weekend tomorrow night thru Saturday night.

I know its no where near related but I'm curious. I'm looking into going to Keiser Career College for their LPN program it is a bit expensive $21,000 for the year. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me?

I've been looking at several school such as Miami Dade Medical, Mercy, and Lindsey Hopskins, but I was curious about that particular school because everyone else is full for Fall semester except them.

Wow, $21,000 for an LPN program is a ridiculous ton of money. My advice would be to look elsewhere. PHCC has a great program, and it's inexpensive.

Sheila is no longer working at Career Central. Everything got dumped in Belinda's lap...she's doing as much as she can as fast as she can. Some of us haven't even gotten disbursements for books, let alone anything else! Try Belinda tomorrow...she was out of the office all day today.

Advice? Mmmm, don't do it?! Sorry, but it's a ridiculous amount of money for what you are getting. Besides training as an LPN, your books, supplies, uniforms, etc. (I realize it's an all-inclusive price) you are paying for convenience. You get in quick/no competition, you don't have as many hoops to jump through, virtually NO pre-requisites (which means you'll likely still incur a lot more costs going after your RN later), etc. But check the contract. It is likely that you will find that if you don't finish (for whatever reason) you will still owe them ALL the money. They are in business to make money and they can't do that without filling seats - be careful of the sales pitch and do your own research, don't take their word for it! (Also watch out for Galen School of Nursing...their program may be great (not disrespecting anyone here), but same kind of pricey!!

For contrast, the LPN program at pTEC (Pinellas County Tech College... Pinellas Technical Education Centers) costs about $3,300 - $3,500 total. They accept the Pell. The 2-year RN at PHCC is just under $6,000. Huge difference!!

My advice - Keep searching until you find a reasonable program in your area...they are out there! Good luck!

FYI West Campus is out of Dosage Calculation Access and Course Manuals......and no clue when they will be back in. WHAT First class is on Tuesday and they don't know when they will be in.

I was lucky and got my funds today now I just need to find out how to change my tuition from my Pell to the WIA. I guess I know what I'm doing after work tomorrow back to West Campus.

I actually like my uniform I must be sick I also love my new lab coats. So sexy
