Pasadena City College RN Program Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Is anyone planning on applying for the Spring 2019 semester (due October 1-31)? The new applications are up!

Hopefully we all will be celebrating an acceptance in the next few months. Good luck to all!

Oops, sorry. That was supposed to be in response to another comment about the pass rate at PCC. The numbers that were posted made it look like the retention and program pass rate were high. Last year almost 20 students failed 3rd semester.

Hi Supernacha23

How do you know this? Are you a current student in the program?

@Supenacha23

I see that you're in the PCC nursing program Fall 2017. Would love to ask you some questions if you don't mind. I'm trying to decide between Rio Hondo and PCC program. Right now I'm leaning towards PCC reason that PCC's clinical are at hospitals I'd like to work at, and PCC has good reputation with employers. I 've heard some things about PCC's program that are concerning though. Would you share your experience? Thanks! :happy:

Ah, got it. Thanks!

Yes. One semester left

All acceptance e-mails have been sent out and more alternate letters and the rejection letters are forthcoming.

Congrats to those who made it.

@Supernacha23

Yes, I too would like to know more about PCC. Along with PCC, I also got accepted to Rio Hondo and La County, so I'm now trying to decide between the 3. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

It looks like I am unable to send messages. Ill try to reach my 15 messages :-)

I have heard great things about LA County and the rumor is that if you get in there, go!

@Bosoxgirl3358 how did you find out this information?

Has anyone received any news recently? Alternate status, rejection email, etc?

Congrats to everyone who made it!

I emailed them and that's what they told me. All notifications should be out within the next few weeks but all initial acceptances have already been sent.

@Supernacha23 - how do you like PCC's program? I've read other posts that PCC isn't recommended by some students. There are complaints about professors, ATI, computerized testing, bad wifi, no regular director, etc

@bosoxgirl3358 nvm lol Just read your response. I hope we get in this time. :( Maybe they realized how many people didn't get in the program because of last minute drop outs( accepting other schools, etc). There was like 5 or 6 spots left open last semester. According to the class schedule. Crossing my fingers!
