Pasadena City College RN program

Hi,

I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.

Any opinions?

Hmm where do send the teas to? To the nursing department of Pasadena city college? I'm going to call Monday but I hope it's not too late since I never received an email and was accepted to the program

gal102690, you send the TEAS scores through the ATI testing site. I believe that the TEAS transcript is then emailed to the email ATI has on file for the nursing dept at the school. It's really easy to do.

Just go to the ATI website and login.

Go to "My Results".

You should see an icon and option that reads "Purchase Transcript". Click on it.

Scroll down on the list and pick Pasadena City College ADN.

Click on the right arrow to add the school and then click submit.

Got my acceptance too! I decided I'm going to PCC. So between now and the orientation we just need I send or scores and accept the offer right? Then at orientation we get more info on everything else right?

I called yesterday and the woman said that they were finishing up sending out notifications and that there may be a couple acceptances left in the pile. I doubt I got in, but it would be nice to know for sure. It's already June 12th. It's ridiculous how long it's taken.

atarkehin, yes that is correct. Send TEAS scores and turn in the intent form. Then orientation on Monday! I'm sure we'll get more info then about ordering uniforms, how to sign up for classes, and getting the rest of our packet done.

How funny that after waiting for months to find out if we were in, now it's happening so fast!

Oh my goodness, so I called PCC today to make sure they received my TEAS and the intent form and they haven't received either! The form, I could understand because I mailed it on Friday but I ordered the TEAS transcripts on 6/5. I thought those were emailed. I wonder if they have the wrong email on file for them.

Anyway, it might be a good idea for those accepted to call the office to make sure they got your form and TEAS.

Are you sure they haven't received your teas yet? I sent mine out yesterday since I got the email yesterday. After that, I replied to the email saying that I just sent it out and I don't know how long it'll take to get there since I just got the email (I thought it was mailed). Later on she emailed me back saying that she received my teas transcript.

That's what they told me today. That they didn't get my scores. So I ordered them again today around 12:30 and I called back but this time they said they didn't have time to search for them. But that as long as I have the receipt email and can prove that I sent them today and on 6/5 then it's okay. That doesn't exactly ease my mind but there's nothing else I can do.

I searched through the entire ATI list this time to make sure I didn't send it to the wrong place and the only thing I saw was Pasadena City College ADN. That's where I sent it. I hope that they just overlooked the email. I'm sure they're getting a lot of those emails lately.

I'm just being very cautious since the devil's in the details. I'd hate to get this far and not get into the program because of some administrative thing. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yea they probably overlooked it.. Don't worry too much. You have proof that you sent your scores beforehand and they if they didn't receive it, it's not on you.
