Pasadena City College RN program

Hi,

I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.

Any opinions?

Nice. Gosh im nervous. I just hope I get the job! I really need and want it. You advertised it well today and I can see myself doing that! Gosh I want it so bad!

Like in my head i feel like I gotit already. He just has to do a formal interview with co workers to just get more answers. I just hope he is serious about his interest in me. Unlike that other interviewer I had. I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing.

I read that and thought you got in!

I talked to --- a little bit, I didnt get to ask her if she put in a good word (she doesnt seem like the type to do that especially when i only took this class with her) but she say a bad and good thing

bad: he gets a lot of applications

good: from what he said, i probably get it

just a matter of freeing up staff to get me in! ugh cant i just get an offer of employment and i wont mind waiting until someone leaves or gets fired

I think he gets a lot of apps cause a lot of schools come and they end up applying!! I'm sure you got it I wouldn't stress out about it!! If he doesn't give it to you he still has to look at me in the halls!!! A w k w a r d!! He wouldn't do that to you!!

Noo I didn't get an email lol my dad says I should leave it alone until at least thanksgiving or later! I'm like thaaanks! But I've realized (finally) that we have done all we can and I'm just going to CHILL and hope for the best!!

I am like thinking about so many things if isnt " i didnt get into PCC" then its "i didnt get the job" you know? ugh if i cant just get the offer already then i could put my two weeks in and start all the drug testing TB test etc... geez...i know i will just give him time to re arrange everyone! if they are people causing problems or not working out then he should get rid of them before probation is over...its easier on the people and the facility

yess i know...i might just be more worried about getting the job then PCC but i mean i traded one obsession for another! i am totally not like this normally either! ugh the wait! waiting for PCC waiting get hired/get another interview for the job! its never ending! at least if i can get into one then my chances go up for getting into the other!

I agree with your dad...we should try to hold out for thanksgiving..i bet i fold before then LOL

Hey, do you know if you have to have a licenses to get into the program?

Because I'm currently a freshmen in CSUN and I want to be a nurse but you have to have an RN to be able to get into the program there. So right now, I'm doing my prerequisites and at the same time looking into cc so I could get my rn.
