Hi,
I've heard that it's not recommended to work while enrolled as a student in an RN program. I'm applying for the Spring Semester at PCC and while I do intend to leave my current employer should I be accepted, I was wondering if there were people who made the attempt to work part-time or possibly in the summer.
Any opinions?
Thanks!
Welli had no experience and honestly if u know how to manage ur time u will be fine!! It gets easier and easier and there are days where you wanna walk out but everyone helps each other!! How about I email him? That way I can tell you to go down there when he's there! And we are def obsessing over this!! I'm hoping I at least get put on as an alternate!!
ohh and i forgot to say it was at RCC where they waited that long!!
and honestly, it's a hard job! But i loooooove the people i work with! All of the staff are super nice! obviously there are times where people disagree and get into arguments, but that happens when people are stressed!
ok i sent him an e-mail just now, but he might be gone for the day, so hopefully in the next day he'll say something! im not sure if he knows some of the girls are leaving so i don't want to tell him, but if we aren't hiring now, we will def be hiring soon. one girl just left for maternity leave, but she doesn't think she'll be coming back!
oh and the director likes if your plan is to move up!
the girl that got me the job, is someone i took anatomy, physio, and micro with! her name is Terry!
haha yess thats her!! and he is good friends with her!! but he said he already was considering someone else, but he would like to meet you, i asked him when is a good time.. so im waiting for a reply! he also asked if you were a good worker and if you'd fit in, and i said you were a great classmate always willing to help others and you have great qualities about yourself that he will recognize when he meets you! pretty good for never meeting you huh? haha but i know what he will ask you cause he wants to hear specific things!
oh and my e-mail is [email protected].. i can just tell you there what he'll ask, that way we dont blow up this thread.. more than we already have

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For RCC or PCC? If PCC took that long I would be screwed! (well hopefully I would have that job at San Dimas Hospital to get me some experience;))
I would just pray that if PCC doesnt go through then a job would, a CNA job that is. And I know that I don't have experience but I got hired where I am at now with no experience and I learned the procedures quick and have become very good at what I do in short amount of time. I believe I can do that with being a CNA too. I just would like to be given a chance to prove myself.
