Pasadena City College 2017 LVN

Published

Hello everyone. I know it's a little early but I wanted to know if anyone is planning on applying to the LVN program when applications open up in March? I'd love to wait it out together!

Would you happen to know if they're the same as PCC with the rule being...if one completes LVN at that particular school, they have a guaranteed seat in the RN Program?

From what I can see on their website I don't think so, but I'm not sure. That would be a good question to ask at the info session.

I'm thinking of going the pharm tech route as well. When I went to the orientation meeting at the Adult school I found out that I only need 4 classes to be Pharm Tech certified since I already have the A&P part taken care of, and the classes are only $20 per term, $5 per class. I can't really pass that up. So if all else fails, I'll complete my CNA certification and also probably Pharm Tech as well.

Still haven't heard anything. I'm assuming it's a rejection. *sighs*

I'm just shocked they never asked for your CNA certificate

That's just telling me I was never going to be considered. I got my rejection email yesterday.

Do you know if they let you use a calculator for the test?

How did it go? did everyone pass????? or did you even talk to anyone to know if they passed. I'm assuming it was the computer version and the results were received instantly.

Don't worry, it's only because of your CNA certificate. You'll get into one of the other schools, and if not apply to PCC. I only say continue to apply to PCC because once you complete the LVN you have a guaranteed stop in the RN Program, I don't know any school that has that perk.

I'm so interested to know if spots will open up today due to some not passing the TEAS.

did u already take the TEAS, and if so, what did you get? I already took the teas (Not the LVN specific one, but the actual one), so now i'm just waiting for an orientation email. No idea when i'm going to receive it.

The lvn teas did include the science portion, it was very upsetting for a lot off people taking the test that day. Including myself, because of that many didn't do so well or didn't even pass.

I got a 72. Not that great but I passed the RN TEAS, which they count for LVN. What were your grades in the prerequisite courses I was selected as an alternate so I'm waiting to see if people didn't pass the TEAS so I could get a spot.

Oh no that's terrible I'm sorry to hear that... :(
