Pasadena City College LVN to RN application 2023

Published

Hello all! I am starting a new thread for PCC LVN to RN career ladder program. I applied again for the second time. This is for the July application cycle with a start during the Winter intersession. Would like to know who else applied to this program. Good luck to all! :)

My core science prerequisite GPA micro, Anat, phys at the time I applied I believe was about 3.08, my TEAS was a 73.3. You're good enough with your GPA.

I tried APU but they wanted another chemistry I have general chem. However, they want O chem

they don't want your chem bout they want 0 chem? how about your criteria score?

Yeah they won't accept general chemistry at APU

Based off those I would say I had probably around a high 60 something to the  70s I'm not too sure but it was not extremely high

that sucked. my sciences expired 8 years ago that's why im kinda really relying on getting into PCC because they would accept expired sciences. Im happy for you and everybody here that got in. I hope I can too next year. what did you guys use for your TEAS reviewers?

So the 85 is not strictly followed then? see this on another board.

I think they go based on the application pool.

I think all you need is a C or better in each required course and a minimum of 62 on the TEAS

All of my courses were expiring or expired too. The good thing about PCC is they don't have a limit for retakes. I started retaking the expired courses and the other schools like Chaffey won't accept it they denied me because I started retaking expired courses

I bought one of the bundles from ATI to review and it included practice tests. I also had to retake my health sciences which I did through LAPU. Some schools will accept online sciences as long as there is a lab component.

Did you all finish your aha CPR certification already ? I totally thought they were all 100% online and I can't find any where u don't have to sign up for a in person class

I don't think you can do it all online. You can do the coursework part online, but need to go in to do the physical portion in person... I went to a place in Pasadena when I had to renew. The BLS took about an hour. He was super easy and does the class a couple times a week.... https://www.sunrisecpr.com/

I went to Safe heart CPR in Covina. It only took me 30 min because I was renewing my certification for BLS. It was quick and the guy was super helpful ?

Yes I've had a document pending for a few weeks. Which is weird in the beginning they cleared fast

Hi guys! If you did your TB/ drug test through the health center, did you get your results to upload to castle branch? They told me I'm cleared but I never received the results.

also does anyone have what the student handbook acknowledgement form looks like? Can't seem to find it!
