Pasadena City College LVN to RN application 2023

Published

Hello all! I am starting a new thread for PCC LVN to RN career ladder program. I applied again for the second time. This is for the July application cycle with a start during the Winter intersession. Would like to know who else applied to this program. Good luck to all! :)

guys, where did you take your TEAS and how? im trying to look at it, there's nothing remotely close. there is an In Person proctored by PSI but cant register. I prefer in person because I don't know if my internet will just randomly drop or just the neighborhood noise might throw me off.

I took mine at Rio Hondo. It was the only place available within my area at the time to schedule and go

Hey EJLVN,

When are you planning to apply to programs?

Good morning all and happy early thanksgiving! I just wanted to let you know if you haven't already that Figs (where we need to get the black scrub jacket) is having their Black Friday sale and it definitely helps rather than buying full price. ?

Good morning! I just bought mine this morning. .So glad they are having a Black Friday sale?

Did you buy the text books yet? They weren't available at the campus bookstore. I'm gonna look elsewhere..hopefully they aren't too expensive.

I don't see that school or any school near west covina on their website. only like san diego area or northridge out somewhere north. how did you do it? did you ask the school?

I did it with ATI I guess they don't have anything available right now. Maybe in the future

Maybe apply to mt sac. When you apply to them they invite you to sit for the TEAS with them. They want the TEAS taken on their campus. If not the closest one would be CNI in orange county unfortunately.

There is a phone number posted on the Rio Hondo nursing website to call to schedule ATI TEAS exam. You take it proctored on their campus and get the results immediately.

thank you guys for this.

on another note, I went to another chat in this website about their admissions criteria score. some of them were 85 and one was even 92 and got rejected. I think I'm changing my plan to just go straight APU and forget about trying to get in to PCC. was it that tough?

Look into the County Nursing Program,

PCC was not hard to get into, I got in on my second attempt applying. The first time I applied I was an alternate list.

Are you going for the generic program or the bridge??

going for the bridge/ APU cohort. if you don't mind me asking your criteria score when you got in. I thought my current 3.3 GPA was good enough. looks like it is not.

My core science prerequisite GPA micro, Anat, phys at the time I applied I believe was about 3.08, my TEAS was a 73.3. You're good enough with your GPA.

I tried APU but they wanted another chemistry I have general chem. However, they want O chem
