Pasadena City College LVN to RN application 2023

Hello all! I am starting a new thread for PCC LVN to RN career ladder program. I applied again for the second time. This is for the July application cycle with a start during the Winter intersession. Would like to know who else applied to this program. Good luck to all! :)

So how is everyone feeling after the info session? I've been looking at the course catalog to get an idea of the classes, date & times. I'm gonna have to juggle work and school so I'm glad --------------------------- provided an example

Honestly a little overwhelming because of all the information from health requirements to graduating requirements. But I'm also relieved to see there's a specific councilor just for us and also tutoring for dosage calculation. I also want to try and work throughout the program.

IKR! I'm already looking for dosage calculation guides to practice. I listen to this nursing podcast (I'm such a nerd) and found this:

Do you guys know why the due dates on castle branch say November 7th for most documents ? It's stressing me out LOL

Oh dang, 

I haven't looked recently, but that's so soon. I thought it was Dec 1st 

I think we're OK because it says 2022

I talked to ------------------------- yesterday and she said not to worry, those dates on castlebranch are wrong and have not been updated.

Hey you guys, I have a random question.

I used to live in Monrovia for my entire life, but I moved up to Victorville a few months ago.

I had been making the drive down regularly to work and stuff its not too bad

What is the farthest you guys are commuting? Is anyone up in my area? LOL

Is anybody having trouble getting emails to your student email? Specifically from the health services center. Apparently I'm not getting certain emails at all and they aren't even going to my spam/junk. They double checked to see that my email is correct but emails from the secure website or whatever are not being sent to me. I haven't touched any of the gmail settings. I'm a first time student to PCC so Winter will be my first time registering for a class but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

Is it an @pcc email? 

I recieved an email in the past that said since I haven't registered yet into a course, the email would be limited to only emails from PCC.

I got that email too, I've been doing everything through my PCC email since the acceptance letter. I can send and receive emails from health services but anything from the secure site is not getting sent to me.

Maybe there's a typo or something on your email address when Carmita sends them, because the secure emails are getting forwarded from Carmita and her email is a PCC email with the secure links in them
