Pasadena City College LVN to RN application 2023

Hello all! I am starting a new thread for PCC LVN to RN career ladder program. I applied again for the second time. This is for the July application cycle with a start during the Winter intersession. Would like to know who else applied to this program. Good luck to all! :)

Hey!! Yes, we are super close, guys! I read through the student handbook and orientation information but couldn't find any info on when we receive our schedule. Hopefully, we get notification at least a month before, like when we registered for Winter session.

That's what I was hoping, just to know ahead of time for work and stuff.

Hello! Did anyone see there was a zoom meeting this morning? ?

I tried to log in but I was the only one in attendance. I waited and tried to log in again, but still nothing. Also, the syllabus shows a completely different book for  fundamentals (Taylor, Lynn & Bartlett Fundamentals of Nursing, 9th ED. 2019, Wolters Kluwer) instead of Kozier & Erbs. I've already purchased my books. I emailed one of the instructors to clarify ?

I totally saw that! 

I was so thrown off by the book, and all the reading we have to do prior. When I first tried to log on there was nothing then it popped up. I saw the zoom like a hour before it ended I clicked it but there was nothing there. I already purchased the books too.. but just in case Amazon has them used from like $4-$15 

I also curious if there's any specific supplies we're expected to have prior to class. I would have thought there would have been a clarification email or something prior to the start LOL

Hey guys I got clarification from one of the professors. She said to follow the syllabus for the required books ?.

I'm so confused I had no idea they were communicating through zoom I've just been checking my school email and nothing I just logged into canvas and the class is listed there for me but I didn't receive this message from them so was there a required zoom meeting ?? ??

I don't know if it was required or not, there was 2 on there. But it didn't say anything about it anywhere or in the announcement. I was super confused too

I don't think so because the teacher never announced it. I joined the meeting earlier to see and there was nothing there.. maybe it was a mistake or something ?
