Pasadena City College LVN program 2018

Hi all! I wanted to start this thread to see who has applied or will apply to the LVN program at PCC for fall of 2018. I already submitted my application and if anyone has tried in the past or is already in the program please feel free to offer advice! Thank you! GOOD LUCK!

Hey guys, so quick update...I was able to speak to someone today at the school and she said that they are still in the midst of the decisions and that we should hear from them by the end of this month. And if we dont hear from them by the 1st week of July, then to contact them directly for your decision results. She claimed it's taking so long due to them making selections for both the RN and LVN programs at the same time, and also sending decision letters (via email) all at the same time. Also, around 40 people applied and only around 20-25 people will be selected for the program.

Hi everyone I am just found this thread. I just want to let everyone know to check your emails cuz imjust got my letter. Now I am wondering does anyone have any knowledge about the background check. I have a misdomeaner from about 15 years ago on my record and I am wondering if I will be denied entry into the program because of this.

From what you guys know, is it usually a bad sign if we don't hear anything from them soon after they're sent out? I'm literally freaking out, and I feel like I may have turned in my CNA cert too late (last Thursday) :-/

I am not sure to be honest but I think you should mention it to them just so they know ahead of time. I've heard that sometimes school prefer that you tell them if anything is going to come up on the background check so there's no surprises or it doesn't seem like you were trying to hide anything.

Also do you know anything about the LVN teas test?

You haven't hear anything? That's weird because they said they were gonna send an email to everyone regardless if they got accepted or not? Did you check your spam folder?

Maybe give them a call on tomorrow if its to late today?

I got mine as well today ! In the email it says that the teas cut off score is 62 . Last year it was 58 for lvn and 62 for RN does anyone know anything about it?

Its really weird, I've been calling but no answer...no surprise there. I'm going to go up there tomorrow morning

Congrats! I believe the LVN teas doesn't have the science portion...from what I gather from past threads/posts? But someone please confirm this as I'm not sure
