HEY EVERYONE!

Just wanted to see how many of us applied!

I turned in my application, certified mail 2 days ago.

So I am just waiting for confirmation....

My stats are:

Anatomy: A

Physiology: A

Microbiology: A

English: B

Math (?): B

Hows everyone else looking???

Let the wait begin!

Anatomy: B

Physio: B

Micro: B

English: A

Unfortunately I didn't get not one A in my science classes :/. Does anyone have any idea if i ever stand a chance to get in to the PCC nursing program with these grades?

PCC uses the Chancellor's Formula to weed out the first group of people. Your grades appear adequate for the first cut assuming you didn't repeat classes and that your overall GPA is decent. But after that, anyone above the 75% cut score goes into a lottery. So a student with straight A's might not get a spot because they weren't chosen in the random lottery.

So make sure you apply to as many schools as you can.

hi all,

Would somebody please tell me that I need to take Nutrition 11 before applying or not? Im not sure about this. thank you :)

According to their brochure, you need Nutrition 11 to complete the degree but you don't need it to apply to the program. Selection is based on Microbio, English, A&P, and prealgebra or higher. So if you have those done, you should be okay to apply.

Pcc is one of the worst nursing schools you can attend. I'm not kidding. The entire nursing department is the least supportive. Trust me, i know this from prior experience. Do not attend pcc.

Specializes in Med-Surg/DOU/Ortho/Onc/Rehab/ER/.

Why do you say that? My coworker is in their program and she loves it. Do you have any examples of why you feel this way?

Has anyone heard anything from PCC yet?
