Would ya'll consider part-time acute care pedi nursing if given the opportunity? Only two twelves per week at almost 50/hr?

Um, I don't think she was offering you a job, OD. Since you have 3 or 4 already.
txbootsy, I would not, unless that was my true comfort zone, close to my house, etc. If I could pick up a shift at my old hospital, perhaps. One shift. Uno.
Yes, the pay is great, but as someone who is also doing HH per diem I find it extremely hard to find the time to commit and switch gears.
Two 12 hour shifts, on top of this job, is a lot.

Probably not unless I was desperate whether it would be my sole job or in addition to my SN job. I hated 12 hours shifts with a passion. Kids, I would probably like better, but I still can't imagine that I would want to do 12 hours again.

As as only job - sure! But in addition to my current SN job - no way. 24 hours on top of a full week would be way too much for me.

Great point, the hospital is about an hour away! I was considering this for next year, but school nursing gets you spoiled.

That kind of money for two days per week sounds great but I am counting on my benefits at the school (namely, the pension). And I love summers off. I already work another job every other weekend.
Twinsies.
Yes benefits are great! Retirement and medical for sure!
