Parkland Summer 2015 Internship

Just wanted to start a thread to see if anyone else applied to Parkland's summer internship. I haven't heard anything, still patiently waiting.

Sounds like you've got some great experience under your belt! Are you a CNA/EMT/tech?

I'm from Idaho, going to Lewis-Clark State College. Current GPA- 3.8, work full time during school, 3 years of acute care experience as an ER Tech/CNA.

No, I do screenings on newborn infants in wellborn nursery and NICU. Kind of a specialized niche but it's fun. Not critical care or ER, but hospital experience nonetheless :)

Everyone I talk to says they were very nice during the interview so it's hard to gauge where I stand. This waiting is killing me!

Hey, that's good experience! Any hospital experience is great to have on the resume. I also thought they were very nice in the interview and so I'm anxiously awaiting the outcome! I liked that they gave a ton of information about the internship during the interview.

Yes! It is definitely going to be a challenge! Kind of like nursing school all over again but actually getting paid this time ;) Have you interviewed for any hospitals in Idaho?

I have already been offered a position as an RN at my current hospital, which is great. I've also applied to other internships and other hospitals, but in different states. How about yourself?

I've interviewed for a couple and just patiently (but anxiously) waiting for responses around mid April. Congrats on your job offer!

The waiting game is terrible. AHH! I am constantly checking my phone and email every time it rings or lights up.

I'm not sure but I saw on facebook today that one of my friend's sisters was accepted into the Parkland CCTNI for the summer, so I'm thinking that they have extended some offers? Has anyone heard anything back from the residency positions?

Hey y'all, will be TCU grad that has just accepted the CCTNI position last night. I know of one other will be TCU grad that has accepted also. Just thought I would stop in to say congrats to those that have gotten the position!
