Good luck to all! SICU is a great unit and I spent many, happy years there!!

Not sure, but I've heard that over 150 people applied.

Well my is the 23! Just based on the number of available interview slots, there are 60. So those are some tough odds to beat if its 60 interviews and only taking 4, but we can do it

Who is the recruiter? Was it the same as the ER residency? I haven't gotten an email yet but it looks like I might be getting a job here in IL but I really want to move TX and work for Parkland. Oh well.

Finally got the email that I've been moved up to the hiring manager. Glad I still have a shot at an interview....

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the thread and an out-of-state applicant for the SICU July Residency. I was just extended an invite for an interview! Does anyone have an idea if they require on-site interviews or if webcam/Skype interviews will suffice? Flights are steep (from the Northeast!) with such short notice...

contact the recruiter but i think all the interviews are in person. Look through this thread, pick up some pointers (esp from MissRN,BSN who is currently in SICU) and good luck to you. From the threads, not many will have interviews for the number of positions so big congrats on getting this far and again, hope to see you in july at new hire orientation!

They may pay for you to come interview....I would definitely work with the recruiter, she can better direct you and coordinate an interview.
