Parkland Residency's for January 2013

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hi guys!

I just wanted to start a thread for everyone applying for the January residency's at Parkland so we can keep each other updated on progress. I've been told that they take their time in getting back to people and the process is slow! I applied to the ER and MICU last weekend and haven't heard anything yet. What specialty areas have you guys applied to and have you been contacted yet?

Any updates? I am getting anxious. I hope they let people know this week. I just want a yes or a no.

I applied to all of the ICU positions. I just keep getting emails that my application is being reviewed and sent. Hopefully we will hear something soon..

This thread is kind of dead lol. Bump Bump.. I want some updates! Good luck everybody.

Has anyone heard from L&D? I've gotten an email saying they're reviewing my app but nothing else.

My interview for NNICU was on the 20th. They said they will be calling me sometime this week. I'm just crossing my fingers at this point. AAhhhh!!

I do have a SICU interview on Dec 4th as well.

Good luck everybody :)

I just want to know already. Yes or no at this point! Congrats on your interview!

Hello all. I have been searching around and am glad to have finally found this thread. I recently interviewed with Parkland for the NNICU Residency on Thursday November 15, and I was called on Saturday the 17, and they offered me the position. I have accepted and am looking forward to starting. Do any of you guys that are involved with the NNICU residency know if the pay will increase once we complete the 20 week internship? I was kind of cloudy on that. Well, congrats to all that have received jobs, and good luck to those still interviewing.

Minimum starting is $24.58. That doesn't include shift differential if you work nights/weekends.

Ok great. TeeJaazi84 do you know if the pay will increase when the residency is completed, or will it remain at the $24.58? Just curious. Thanks

From my understanding, $24.58 is the starting. Residency pay may be less than that because the $24.58 is minimum starting...(per a friend who just completed a residency). If I find out more, I will pass it along.

$24.50 or $24.58 and no, it does not increase upon completion.
