Hi all, I wanted to start a thread for those who have applied to the Parkland new grad residencies starting in January/February 2016. So far they have posted positions for L&D, NICU, ER, and med-surg. Feel free to share any progress on interviews, ask questions, etc.

Have you completed your nursing school? Took NCLEX & Passed?

I'm on TPAPN and was wondering if y'all hire TPAPN nurses. I've been on TPAPN for a year so I can pass narcotics, work OT and nights so restrictions are pretty much done. Please let me know, Thank you

What does TPAPN stand for? I am not familiar with this acronym.

I hope we hear something soon! I received two emails saying that my application is under review and a recruiter will be contacting me to tell me what's next but those were sent a couple weeks ago so I'm getting anxious!

I applied to a few different areas as well at Parkland. Only thing I have heard from them so far is that my application was forwarded to the hiring manager for the NNICU but that was a few weeks ago. Not sure how long this process takes or if we will somehow know if we are out of the running?

Same here! I had my application forwarded for NICU and ED (which I applied for on accident lol). So far I haven't heard anything else! My friend had an interview with NICU and they said they were looking to hire 16 or more interns so thats good news!

I accidentally applied to the ED as well haha! I'm glad to hear that they are hiring into quite a few spots. Hopefully they are still in the interviewing process! I'm also waiting to hear anything from Labor and Delivery. I may go ahead and apply to some ICU spots for good measure.

16 or more...that's good news! Does your friend already work at Parkland? I'm starting to get really worried that I have barely heard a peep from any of my applications! This is so nerve-wracking.

I was offered an interview today for L&D after applying at the beginning of this week. The manager of the unit called and said she needed to get moving on interviews so I'm sure she will be calling applicants soon!

Congrats on your interview! Please let us know how it goes! Good luck!

That is exciting! Good luck and definitely keep up posted.
