Parkland Residency Summer 2020

Hello everyone!

I created this thread for those who are interested or applying to the residency program at Parkland for the summer 2020. I'm hoping this thread is helpful for those wanting to talk and ask questions. Good luck to everyone!

I interviewed w/ NPCU today. Standard interview with supervisor and a couple of nurses from the unit.

Okay great! Do you know how long until they start giving offers? I read that Parkland can take a while

They told me we should get offers for this unit by next week.

Hi there! Wondering if anyone had heard back who applied to critical care, ER, or trauma med-surg units. My CC application says it is under review, and the other two are saying applied.

I am trying really hard not to be discouraged but I submitted applications in early January!

Hello Lexi,

A few of my friends had interviews yesterday for those units. Are any of your app statuses in red? There's turned red and then recieved a call for an interview. My trauma med-surg is the only one currently in red!!

Is that how that works? I wondered. I’ve got two units in red that I haven’t heard from yet. But one of the units I interviewed for this afternoon (SICU/PCU) is not and has never been red. (Interview went well for anyone who’s asking. Standard two panels: one leadership and one peer, behavioral questions. I didn’t ask when I would hear back. I don’t need that kind of anxiety in my life. LOL!)

No they just say applied ? are you and your friends applying for the May start or the July start?

No they just say applied are you and your friends applying for the May start or the July start?
