Hello everyone!
I created this thread for those who are interested or applying to the residency program at Parkland for the summer 2020. I'm hoping this thread is helpful for those wanting to talk and ask questions. Good luck to everyone!

I think earlier you were asking about shift differentials so here they are: Baseline pay: $24.52/hr PLUS $2.75/hr for the evening shift, $3.50/hr for the night shift, and $6.00/hr for the weekend shift (Fri/Sat/Sun).

What is the difference between evening and night shift hours?

Who all interviewed for MICU PCU already? I interviewed today but felt like it was a tough crowd. Do you know how many positions are available or when should we expect offers or declines?
What I have seen with others, they let you know the next day for first choice. If anyone doesn’t accept, they have a chance 3 days later.

Night shift is 7p-7a but I don't know the time of their evening shift. Other hospitals usually do 11a-11p or 1p-1a for their evening shifts. I don't think every department has evening shifts though, as they are more frequently reserved for higher patient volume departments like the ER. New nurses don't have much of a say unfortunately LOL.

At lease 2 managers from your last jobs, if you haven worked you can use professors or clinical preceptors. The others can be ppl you worked with. Yes they fill out a survey.
