Has anyone heard back after the ED interviews last week? I wonder how long it takes?

I haven't heard anything yet. They said by the end of this week I think. Does anyone know how many residents they are hiring ? I forgot to ask that question.

I interviewed Friday morning & haven't heard anything either. I asked how many resident positions they will be hiring & the lead interviewer told me they don't have a set number just depends on who they feel will work best for ER. I just hate waiting on the email to come. Hoping we all hear something good soon.

I emailed the recruiter and this is what I asked -

I was wondering if they have picked who they wanted in the ER residency? Also wanted to know if they've started interviews on any of the med-surg residencies for October?

This is what she replied -

Yes and yes. Every applicant that was selected for interviews has been contacted. ER has made their selections as well. Thanks

Thanks for the update....good to know something. So glad the recruiter's response wasn't simple & vague. I just wish if the decisions have been made they could send out the generic email saying 'sorry or congrats".

Yea I thought you would at least get an email either way it goes... :unsure:

I don't know any other places that are hiring... Baylor's applications just got take down.

They told me we would know by the end of this week. Is that what they told yall? I have yet to hear anything. I hope they send out emails soon. Maybe they haven't sent selection emails yet? Keeping my fingers crossed until further notice.

Thanks for the updates. I've heard great things about working in the ER such great learning and amazing teamwork. I hope we all get in and take this once in a lifetime ride together. Good luck and fingers crossed!!!

Well I emailed the recruitor this am just to follow up & see if she knew when emails were to sent out (I know a few people I graduated with got hire emails Monday/Tuesday). Her reply was "you were not selected for the position and to try again in February 2015". Super frustrating but it is what it is.

I sort of figured they were done which sucks but we can't lost hope. I'm taking my NCLEX at the end of this month so I knew I wasn't a strong candidate. But still they interviewed a lot of people.!Maybe we lucked out because that contract was a long time all the way until 2018. I heard the turn over rate is ridiculous!

So true never give up hope!! I know 3 years is a long contract & I have heard that the main reason for it being so long is because of the turn over rate. Good luck to you on your NCLEX!!
