Congratulations on landing an interview! I’ve had a few ICU interviews and one question that kept coming up is why you want to work at Parkland and that specific ICU. Parkland had one of the biggest and best burn ICUs in the country so that’s an easy answer. They also ask about clinical situations and what would you do in this situation type questions. Good luck!!
I just got an offer and you don't sign the contract until about a month before starting. the contract is 18 months long including the nurse residency program. the starting salary is $27 and you get a pay increase every 6 months for the next 2 years. shift differentials are Evening $3.50, Night $5.00, Weekend $6.00

Thanks so much for this info! And congrats! Super happy for you! Do u mind telling us some of the questions they asked during the interview and what unit u interviewed for? please ignore me if u r not comfortable doing that, hah!
Thank you! They asked, "Tell me about yourself and why parkland." They asked a few behavioral questions like "tell me about a time when you dealt with a difficult patient." I suggest getting good at storytelling to capture their attention and bring relevant/clinical experiences to life. I hope this helps!

Hello! Just wanted to say that a recruiter told me that Joint Commission came last week, so interviews were delayed to deal with that. You should hear back by mid-March or earlier for interviews. I know some med/surg units are doing (or have done) interviews right now. I applied to some med/surg units, L&D, Mother Baby, and Urgent Care Emergency Center. Hope this helps!
