so off topic of ER residency, but has anyone interviewed for Parkland's OR July 2014 Residency and heard anything back? I applied April 24 and still have not received an email of acceptance OR decline. They said they'd know in 2 weeks, and it has almost been a month! Anyone who could help would be great!

thanks, looking forward to being in the ER residency. The OR residency was one of my top three to try to get! good luck to you on that. Also, I want it bad is in the OR at UTSW so that may be another person you may want to reach out to and work that angle. Again, be persistent with this and good things will happen!

Wow, that's great! I didn't read the entire thread of this, but congratulations on the ER Residency! That's truly something special, and you should be so proud after how many applicants applied and interviewed! I interviews as well for the ER, and I knew the very slim chance of receiving the position, so I am very happy for you! Good luck with that! I'm sure you'll do great. And thank you for the advice! I will definitely look into that. I definitely do need to be more persistent when it comes to getting what I want and interviewing. Thanks for the support!

well, you will just have to get on FB viper3bee! MV is taking hers in a couple of weeks. I have my RN already and i am retiring from my law enforcement job in the next 40 days from here in Afghanistan. Are you local viper? Will be looking for you along with MV. I don't know how many actually got hired for the ER. I have heard as low as 8 and as high as 15.
