Parkland ER Residency July 2014

Just wanted to let ya'll know Parkland has posted the ER residency for July 2014 if anyone is interested. :)

RonnieDita: We expect to see you at Parkland either in July or in the fall! Keep checking parkland careers for the openings. We will be there waiting on you! Do NOT give up.

@TWU80 thanks for the encouragement. I won't give up. Texas is where we ultimately want to be to grow our family. I will continue to be persistent. I hope I get to meet you all!!!!

TWU80 - Do you know where on the careers page we can search by Job ID? I can only find a place to search for keywords and when I enter "Nurse Resident", the only thing I find is for 5W - Med/Surg....I wonder if it's only open to internal applicants at this point??

dfwnurse2be: here's the deal: did not find it on parkland careers! if you have applied before to parkland, there will be a link at the bottom of the email thanking you for your interest in whatever job you did. Click that and you go to the hr.pmh.org page labeled to the left as "careers" also called "applicant home" This is where you log in to see your stuff BUT if you look below you will see the LATEST job postings and SICU residency July 2014 is job id #140555 (looking at it now) and it is posted! try it and see if that works! think it goes there FIRST before it goes on parkland careers

one more thing guys: if you apply to SICU residency you MAY not be able to go anywhere for the length of the contract! The sample ER contract they sent me indicated that i can NOT apply to any other Parkland residency until the completion of the ER contract which for me is November 18, 2017!!! The contract starts the day AFTER you complete the residency not the day you start at Parkland in July. Hope this helps with your decisions. According to the handout at interview, ER does residencies THREE times a year: July, October-November and February. Good luck guys, hope to see all who are interested in parkland get what they want.
