PALOMAR/MIRA Costa ADN Programs 2022

Updated:   Published

Hey everyone I wanted to start a thread so we can support one another /ask questions for those of us who are applying to an ADN program 2022 Spring with Palomar, Mira Costa, Grossmont!

Does anyone know how many students they're accepting now after Covid? I heard its a little less competitive for Spring Vs fall!

Of course! There’s some who have super high points who haven’t gotten accepted so I’m a little confused/worried how they’re choosing applicants

Maybe they are going alphabetically? I assumed the 40 highest scores would get an email then they would go from there but I saw someone who estimated they had 82 points get their email. Always hard to know for sure what points they accepted too.

@parsia

omgggg November 1st ughhhhh, okay that’s good to know. Thanks!

Grossmont has sent out an email asking people not to call now that emails are going out. They explained the process of filling the class takes weeks?

At least I know they received my application.

@Myranda_jade, Really you know of people who have super high points that have not been accepted, yet? I wish they would tell us how many points they actually calculated or not so we know if it was accepted or not and what to do :/

Just declined my seat at Palomar. Good luck to everyone!

I declined mine as well

Prayers and good vibes to everyone with the next batch of emails going out soon

Any updates from anyone?

@hopeful333

not yet. I anticipate the next wave of emails will go out late Wednesday or early Thursday once the first group accepts or declines their seats.

Did anyone else get the new email sent out by Mira Costa about the new updated application point system? I’m confused if we’re supposed to resubmit our applications now or by next year applications period ?

The new point system for Mira applies for fall 2022 applications, and I think the new point thing is total bs. It means that someone with 81 points will get the seat instead of someone with 96 points, because it’s a random selection of the top 150. I don’t think that’s fair

Yeah that’s rough to think that programs are going back to a stupid lottery system….
